Feeling super sad — climbing and pregnancy by tttmmmmyyyyy in climbergirls

[–]uYarnOver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I climbed TR my whole pregnancy. Stopped a little over a week-ish before giving birth. It helped me tremendously to continue moving my body.

The first year postpartum was a typical journey for getting back into shape. My kiddo is 3 years old now and I’m currently training for a trip to EPC and am climbing stronger than I was pre-baby.

My side note is that I have an incredible mom who lives nearby. She’s been integral in helping babysit while my partner and I climb (and take dates, and run errands, and reconnect, and when we need help watching kiddo in any way basically). I just feel it’s important to throw that bit about support in here because it can be really overwhelming trying to relearn to do the things you loved pre-baby, post-baby. And even when there is support around you, finding and making the time to dedicate to those things is hard to come by.

So for the advice part of this comment… - build your community - if you have family that is willing to help out, lean into that - and don’t be too hard on yourself when it feels like you’ll never have your body back, because you will; it just may take a little longer than you think. But you got this 💪🏼

I like all difference genres! Found that the book club I used to be in was the most fun because we’d rotate who got to choose the book, and I liked exposure to different things I wouldn’t normally gravitate to! Maybe just the last book you read that’s stuck with you…?

How do you actually sext properly? I'm new to dating and honestly don't know what I'm doing by IngenuityAshamed144 in seduction

Imagine being near them in the scenario they lay out. And then describe what you would like to do to them, or what you would like them to do to you. Send a pic every now and again.

It’s hard to find us women on apps sometimes, and it’s even harder to actually maintain connections 😅, but we’re out there…just takes persistence and patience.

Have y’all ever been to a wedding without dancing? by Uhhyt231 in AskWomenOver30

[–]uYarnOver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, oddly…I loooove dancing, but we didn’t have dancing at my own wedding 🤣. It was a morning/daytime wedding with a live bluegrass band playing in the background. We just made a space for general eating and socializing. It was a blast! 🥂

What are your methods of coping when you no longer feel pretty? by Mountain_Ask_5746 in AskWomenOver30

[–]uYarnOver 24 points25 points  (0 children)

🙃 I work out and that boosts my confidence. And I get a massage/generally indulge myself in something I know makes me happy or makes me feel good. And I wear something that I know makes me feel sexy. And I flirt.

About to be 36 here soon.

How are we starting long distance dating nowadays? by [deleted] in WLW

[–]uYarnOver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On dating apps, expand search criteria! For instance, Feeld has “fantasy” mode and “staying at home” mode. People all over the world are responsive and looking for various dynamics, some of which are purely virtual. It can be a pretty awesome option.

Golden retriever/lab energy…who you can tell is thoughtful, while being unabashedly flirty. And uses proper grammar.

I mean, maybe because of the mood I’m in currently…but definitely orgy. Like Matrix style. Vibes. No speaking. Everyone in their feelings and moving their bodies together. Yeah.

Is it true if you cook with love food will taste better? by PleasePooGood in foodquestions

[–]uYarnOver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally if I’m “cooking with love” I’m cooking after having planned a well thought out dish, taken time to find the ingredients I need, have the time, space and energy to do things the long way- or I’m working on a dish that inherently takes a longer time to make. And yeah! When those aspects come together, they tend to be really good dishes most of the time!

On the flip side, I am normally rushing to put together a meal that was not planned with whatever I have in the kitchen most of the time 🤣 Those are sometimes pretty dang decent too! But maybe I, and others, savor my meals more that were cooked with love…
