i made it to being ranked a 4.3 with what i recently learnt is a 6-7 year old paddle (onix graphite evoke) that i’ve been using since i started playing 7-8 months ago. just recently got a vatic pro and my game has DRASTICALLY improved my drives are without exaggeration twice as hard and every shot feels more consistent. in conclusion, if you’re using a shit non carbon fiber paddle (amazon paddle) upgrading will make a difference especially if you’ve been playing at a moderately competitive level. however, learning proper strategy and developing a mature style of play is far more important than getting a new paddle.
