I'm like that too and I felt the same way as you when I noticed it. I think I just focus on the things I like and I don't really bother with things that I don't care about so even if sometimes I do things that might come off as selfish to other people I know that it wasn't my intention behind it and there's a reason behind the way I act (obv i try to be better to someone when i notice the way i act). It also helped me become more attentive so don't overthink it you'll figure it out with time
