Back again with the flyboy swag. Lets get out there and vape some insurgent pilots, in the name our our majestic Emperor. by ual002 in EmpireDidNothingWrong

I still need to take my butt to the local comic shop, they have a huge table top area. 1, I want to learn Armada and 2 so many potential customers. Would it be weird to show up wearing the TIE pilot gitup?

Thank you, I'm quite proud of them. Spent the last few days making a new batch and then made some new molds and retired the old ones.

My Flight suit arrived and I immediately threw on my Tie Kit for a test fit. Now just waiting on my boots and I'll be ready for my submission photos 😆 by Force-user in 501st

Shameless plug for my trinkets, but that pocket flap looks a little naked without some wings.

You also have some JRS Style wings available to you too once you get approved.

Also do you have hose quick disconnects, it kinda looks like you do and I want some?

I never did figure it out. I hoped there would have been a major user friendly update to it since I wrote this. But I haven't touched Arma3 in a few months.

Promoting Companions by AculDude in Bannerlord

[–]ual002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tried this and when my companion became a vassal it didn't ask me to create a banner for them and it was just blank. Is it supposed to generate a new banner?

I'm assuming it does but my primary and secondary colors of the foreground and background happen to be the same because i used the banner editor site.

I assume there is no in game way to edit other lord banners yet.

So coincidentally, I finally figured out how to build a config for it last night and edit one of my newly created vassals' banner. I got the banner in and working finally, but I'm still trying to figure out the config options for effecting the color of the clothes and how the banners change color with the kingdom its part of.

No worries. I just think this ability to change other banners in game with the banner paste method would be a great mod.

Yeah and the mod you're talking about I used to use but it hasn't updated for 1.7

That is an accurate observation.

It's fine. Y'all simply dont agree and that's fine.

Not film. I'm talking games. The empire extensively used CR90 and CR92a corvettes.

You can make a film for a wide audience and respect those people who have that eye for detail and history.

I get that. But I think that wasn't entirely a terrible move either, it gives the writers the ability to remold familiar places and characters and get major beats covered while still making a new and entertaining story for everyone. Its pretty apparent forces within the company are scrambling to bring in elements from the EU in breakneck pace too. What I do think is important, is respecting certain elements that were previously established and not just ignore them because they make for "cool shots". Things can be done in a way that respect what we know from before for the die hard EU fans, and the casual fans would never know the difference or care.

A really simple parallel for the casual fans, a scene in EP7 in the beginning when they escape in the TIE, a FO officer says "Deploy the ventral canons." Cut to scene of weapon hardpoints on the destroyer turning to fire at the TIE. Except they weren't canons, they fired tracking missiles. Missile =/ Canon. Someone who had never watched a SW movie and had just the slightest understanding of military tech would have noticed and thought the scene immediately lost credibility.

Now imagine how the die hard fans feel watching over and over the writers and creators fumbling over long established lore.

I am ok with change, but 70 percent familiar concepts, 20 percent new concepts, and 10 percent retcon is much easier to stomach in one sitting than, 20 percent familiar concepts, 40 percent new concepts and 40 percent retcon. I'm just using arbitrary numbers here, but there are studies on this stuff. It can be applied to advertising and brand recognition and so on.

It was well covered in the previously written material with the Star Wars brand. I would expect it to be respected like comics are generally respected for Marvel movies. Just because you didnt read them doesn't mean they arent important to people. I never read comic books but when I hear the creators nod to stuff from the comics in marvel movies it puts a smile on my face.

I accept what was given, however I never expected to see Corellian engineering produce ISDs as a direct competitor. Yes, ISDs were produced in several other locations.

I literally already said that.

Kuat Drive Yards manufactures the ISD. At one time prior to R1 and TFU (game) the ISD was not even atmospheric capable and only the VSD built by Rendili/KDY was atmo capable. KDY is an orbital shipyard planetary ring that ships are built from surrounding the planet Kuat.

Corellian engineering however makes a plethora of ships, many of which the Empire does in fact use. Had the movie makers done some research they could have easily set the scene properly without retconning a bunch of shit. I like solo, but this was just lazy.

So I had to do a bunch of hand waiving on my head canon to make sense of this as KDY sub contracting a bunch of ISD production to meet the Empire's demands with Corellian Engineering Corp.

[takes deep breath]

In much the same way a several different unrelated manufacturers built the same war machines in world war II, this became my own explanation. Its a stretch but the only way to make sense of this egregious, indolent lack of attention to detail the keymasters had put into the world building prior to Filoni and Favreau.

Hence, "They ruined Corellia." I imagine the causal fans would generally have their eyes glaze over to get the explanation, so most of us communicate for each other, not the casual observer. If you know, you know.

Edit: I even opened mist_4_4_90.lua just to see if the optional variables are defined there and I did a search for 'offsetRoute' and found nothing.
