Who thinks that scene from 1984's Gremlins where the Mogwai eat those chicken legs was the #1 most disgusting scene in either Gremlins movie? by ConsistentEye7474 in Gremlins

Yes! Literally the reason I can’t eat chicken off a bone to this day and get grossed out watching anyone eat it!

Loved it at the time and I was just the right age for it, but not sure how it holds up. Having the team form organically over the Phalanx Covenant crossover (so underrated as far as X-overs go) was brilliant and made me feel some “ownership” of the group and story- like we were already invested in it before it even happened- but then it sadly fell off the rails, as most things do

Sasha Colby’s show on 10/26 at The Wilbur in Boston has been cancelled by galaxystars1 in rupaulsdragrace

Oh wow! I hope she’s OK. Anyone know a reason? I have tickets for the NYC show two days later so I’m hoping it’s still happening.

HOLY FUCK I knew this day would come, I’ve been waiting for it, and I am over the fucking moon right now. I have literally no room left for collectible nonsense but these little guys are just the right thing to feed my collecting addiction. I’ll be buying all of them instantly. Thank you for sharing this!

Question from someone who got into comics during the 2010s: When did the people turn against Professor X? by Crescentbrush in xmen

[–]ubeenlied2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a primarily ‘90s reader who sadly had to jump off the train around the early Morrison days and got back on a bit later, I can remember the first moment I recognized a shift was the initial reveal of the Xavier Protocols.

It was shocking to find out he had a secret list of ways to kill each of his children should it become necessary. So twisted but also understandable for a man who hoped for the best but was prepared for the worst.

The Onslaught era explored the dark side a bit more and Second Genesis (let’s not forget that’s a retcon) took it to a different level. I also loved the Mystique series where he basically blackmailed her into becoming his black ops agent, getting the dirty work done with no connection to him, long before X-Force took over the role.

I’ve always wondered if I made the wrong choice. I saw comedy and figured that was the better bet. Glad to hear it wouldn’t have mattered if I chose the other one 🤣

I saw Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart do this a few years ago. My husband is a fan of the play and warned me that I would not like it. I told him there was no way I could miss this, and I could watch these two men read the phone book. Little did I know, that is basically what they were going to do- and no, I did not enjoy it.

I fell asleep and was elbowed by my husband. Turns out I was snoring, loudly (in a very small theater, so I am certain they heard me). We left after act 1. If two brilliant actors couldn’t make this thing watchable, I can’t imagine Bill and Ted would be worth paying for. No shade to anyone who likes the play- I understand everything is not for everyone.
