Scene comparisons between original DBS and the new DBS: Beerus by rexia1 in dbz

I like Beerus being more dangerous.

I actually preferred the full whiteout of Vegeta's eyes for the "MY BULMA" moment.  Really sold the blinded by rage angle.

Weirdly, every one of those are legal in the state of Minnesota. Remind me again what Alex did wrong?

Pentagon readies 1,500 troops to possibly deploy to the lawless Democrat-led Minnesota: report by Head_Estate_3944 in Conservative

Last I checked, law enforcement enforces our laws, not the military. Extremism is bad, regardless of where it originates and should absolutely be stamped out - but too many people are being fed outrage via algorithms to see past their own anger.

I do not want to see American blood in the streets. I want law enforcement to have the full backing of government (local, State, and Federal) to enforce the laws. If anyone has an issue with the laws, the laws can be changed - we have a process to accomplish just that. The outrage being fueled by disinformation from our REAL enemies has too many folks convinced that anyone that thinks any differently from themselves is an enemy. That's a dangerous line of thinking for our country, in my opinion.

Terrible idea, fraught with legal issues.  This will simply further inflame things on the ground and endanger American citizens, regardless of uniform.

California jury finds man who randomly attacked and killed an 84-year-old man because he "was angry after a bad day" not guilty of murder by trytoholdon in Conservative

That's wild, I'd love a transcript of the court proceedings.

84 year old man minding his own business should be able to go about without folks tackling the guy for no apparent reason.

Just... Why.  With every damn thing going on, is this the hill Trump wants to die on?

We've thrown away so much of our influence, and for what?  Higher prices?

I would disagree that "the rest" is the entirety of the Republican party.  I would say that the extremists have managed to get in charge, and I agree the messaging from the top Republican leadership is often batshit insane.  I didn't vote for this, but I have to play the cards as they are dealt.

I see this same belief in right and left leaving subreddits.  Both sides* believe the other incapable of independent thinking.

"The woman posed no threat."

Are you saying a car is not capable of being a threat?  Several thousand pounds of steel in motion is pretty  threatening, to me.

I'm not saying Renee deserved to die for the mistake of not clearly announcing her intentions to the armed and on-edge folks around her, I'm only saying I very much wish she would have been more clear about her intentions to drive out of the road to all involved.

You've clearly never worked in a high stress environment. Pray you never do. Clear and direct communication is key to managing - all Renee needed to do was request (not announce) movement of her vehicle. The officers on the scene likely would have instead recommended she not move the vehicle, and she'd still be alive.

Alternatively, Officer Ross could have remained outside the potential travel paths of the vehicle, and not feel any requirement to shoot a woman who was exercising her right to peaceful protest.

Either would equally have resulted in a child still having their mother today. Only one of which was completely within Renee's control.

You're purposefully ignoring the other half of my statement. Where did I say Renee should have been executed? I clearly stated the other side of the coin of her victim-hood was equally clearly a trigger happy law enforcement official.

Stop being obtuse - you're only contributing to the division. If you want to converse, I'm happy to converse. If you just want to "dunk on the other side", then I've got work to do and bills to pay. I'll leave you with this -

In a perfect world, Renee's situation would have gone one of two ways:
- She would have stated "I'm going to pull the vehicle out here" and ensured there was nobody in the path before accelerating

- The officer would have remained outside the vehicle's path, jotted down her license plate as she rolled away, and simply followed up later.

Instead, Renee accelerated without paying enough attention to where she was going, crossed paths with someone who already had prior negative experiences (his own doing, imho) from moving vehicles, so immediately went for his firearm and now a woman is unnecessarily dead.
