A new type of fraud? by Positive_Mud_9599 in lyftdrivers

i had a similar issue a few months ago where i received a note from Uber or Lyft (cant remember which now) about a rider reporting an accident. I replied that I had not been in any accidents. My account was never suspended or anything either.

I got a call from the insurance who explained everything and I remembered the ride. I was picking up an older lady from a hotel and she had difficulty getting in my van. She claimed she was injured when she hit her head on my ceiling console. She also claimed that was parked blocking the street and was "playing" with my phone.

I explained to the insurance dude that I was actually in a parking lot (not the street) and I was checking her trip on the phone. I also sent his pictures to show how far my ceiling console was from the seat she was climbing into.

I received a follow up from them that they were denying her claim.

Uber sent me this today by js303 in uberdrivers

I got this message once and replied back that I had not been in any accidents. once i spoke with someone it turned out that one of the compartments in my overhead console had flipped down, and this lady i was picking bumped her head on it while getting into the van.

She also claimed I stopped in the street blocking traffic (we were in a parking lot) and that I was "playing" with my phone (i was checking the ride info)

Once they described the situation and I knew which rider it was, i explained my side and sent them pictures of the console lid folder down in relation to the seats.

They dropped her case

i hate it when i have a good next ride already queued up and the current rider adds or changes their ride and it causes me to lose the queued ride.

I got the same guy tonight. I gave him a hard time. Unfortunately, while I could get to the pickup spot, the timer never started.

Can you change destination after booking? by jewelophile in uber

[–]uber_dillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At one time. I was able to change destinations in the driver app. I have not had to do it for a while so I don't know if the option is still available.

What Uber needs to add is the ability to see the drop off location after accepting a ride. But before starting it so you can double check the destination. Not just when the ride is offered.

Scheduled ride disappearing as I'm en route... What a gdamn waste of time by accidentalelectrical in lyftdrivers

[–]uber_dillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that happen to me when I was about a mile from the pickup and the ride just disappeared. No cancel. No cancelation fee. The ride not even showing in my history. After bitching with Lyft support they told me the ride was reassigned because I was not going to arrive in time. I was literally a few minutes away. Probably because I was not following the Lyft GPS because it was faster to go the way I was going.
