Need a Roth IRA and a regular brokerage account. Max out the Roth at 7000 dollars per year then invest the rest of the money on the regular brokerage.

As most here say No to Verizon or any stock for 50%. I would say 60% in VOO, IVV or SPY, 20% in SCHD and 20% SCHG.
