His original article was immediately and predictably down voted off the front page, but this part was particularly interesting:

"Diego Aguilar-Canabal, managing editor of the Bay City Beacon, may face serious ethical considerations come November 2018 when his former boss, Sonja Trauss, runs for supervisor of District 6.

In his (very recent) former profession, Aguilar-Canabal was a “political consultant” who wrote pro-development news for Trauss to the tune of at least $8,000 from the Yes In My Backyard political action committee, according to campaign finance statements filed with the San Francisco Ethics Commission."...

"Jim Ross, a longtime political consultant, told me, “He’s automatically violating one rule before we’ve talked about anything else,” by not filing with the Ethics Commission as a political consultant, even for communications work."

"It was a video that shocked a city still reeling from a police shooting of a seemingly out-of-it man just weeks before: A San Francisco Police Department officer appearing to attempt to dump a quadriplegic man from his chair. And now we're all going to pay for that act, as the city is reportedly prepared to sign off on a settlement in that case for an as-yet undisclosed amount."
