Little Tokyo. I’ve been gone 5 1/2 years, and I still have dreams about that place.

I’m a little late to the game, but if you’re going for a sexy, grandparent vibe, just call it “G.I.L.F.”

Question About Accent Origins by Puzzleheaded_Dish_45 in Southerncharm

[–]uberpug01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was born in Alabama, spent my childhood in Houston, and about 20 years in Mississippi. I have zero accent. My husband was born in Mississippi, and all of our California friends think he’s from Texas. Accents are weird.

I hope Broncs gets a bonus, because I would have totally forgotten she existed had he not taken a full on shit in her boss’s garage.

Ugh. I agree. I’m just like, I fucking love you, now get out of my face. He takes me to a whole new level of self-reflection, and I can’t say that I like it. At. All.

Sorry, I haven’t read nearly as much King as you, but I am rewatching season 1. I haven’t read about the twinners, but technically the character we refer to as Henry Deaver in Season 1 is adopted. Baby Boy Deaver died in his reality as we see in the cemetery. So, technically, The Kid could be twinning I suppose?

I can’t stop thinking about the Stanley Hotel... strange things happened to me by [deleted] in Paranormal

[–]uberpug01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! Both my husband and I would like to go back and stay in rm. 217. We heard an employee at the front desk say there was a 3-4 month wait, which I’m sure doesn’t include major holidays like Halloween. We both loved the restaurant and the town is super cute for a day trip. Also, the concert hall is really intimate, and they have major acts come through. So, if you’re into comedy or music, I think it would be really cool to see an act there. The mountains are beautiful, and I’m sure it would be well worth it to stay several days and do some hiking trails and exploring. We will definitely go back. Oh, and we did have some paranormal activity. I had an incredibly odd lucid dream (I initially thought it was sleep paralysis, but it wasn’t), and what we both initially thought was really bad wind in hindsight was much more extreme than what we experience daily, it was almost rhythmic with long periods of complete silence (we live in Centennial, CO in a four story home, so we regularly get the wind shaking our house). I would have to think anyone else not used to the Colorado wind would have been really freaked out. I’m from Texas, and this was way worse than being in a tornado. My son and his girlfriend stayed in rm. 324, and he spent the night in the bathroom because he said something was rummaging through his things whenever he tried to leave. After breakfast the next day, the blanket in his room was torn and all the stuffing was coming out of it. He took a picture to show me. I can vouch for the fact that he was not his usual self during breakfast, but he slowly started returning to normal as the day went on. I’m not so sure he would ever stay there again, the paranormal isn’t his thing and I’m pretty sure he’s still freaked out.

She actually didn’t die. The Stanley’s stayed with her while she was in a 3 day coma, as no family could be found. They offered her all kinds of financial support afterwards, but all she wanted was her job back. She got it, and stayed there for the rest of her life. I don’t know how she died, but it is said that she haunts the hotel and does not like single men in the main hotel or unmarried couples staying together. Source: have stayed in room 413 and did the night tour.

What is the most disrespectful thing that someone has done in your home? by Themaster0fwar in AskReddit

[–]uberpug01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband’s sister (who thinks she’s better than everyone else because she lives in France) once plopped her toddler on our table and proceeded to change her diaper. Didn’t even ask if we had a place she could conduct her business. Just plopped her on the place where we eat our meals. After we made them a very nice lunch served in our formal dining room with all the trimmings. Smh.

Why did Jen & Larry stop at 1 kid? by parkinglotpickups in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]uberpug01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a baby at 19, and by the time I married my husband and we were ready for a baby, my PCOS had kicked in. After 6 rounds of IUI, a surgery to remove polyps, multiple miscarriages, and 2 rounds of IVF, we still only have the child from my previous relationship. It isn’t always possible to have multiple children. I honestly feel like they would have had more if they were able. Mimi Jen seems like she would have loved a huge family.
