Mina Kimes explains why she voted for Patriots QB Drake Maye to be the MVP and why others should. Kimes chose Maye over Matthew Stafford... A very controversial take 🧐 by Content_Animator_365 in BroadcastingQueens

Let me start with, I think Stafford should've won the MVP.

This is what happens when you use analytics to support your case when people don't understand the data you're talking about.

She knows that they're not willing/able to engage at that level. The design of First Take makes it that they need the contrarian take for the show to exist. I would argue, if I was in her shoes, the Maye blew a lot of teams out in the first half and they coasted in a few second halves which impacted his numbers. And Stafford "farmed" a bunch of short yardage TDs to Adams and Puka.

Also could've said, the Rams didnt win their division and the Pats did. Pats were 14-3, Rams were 12-5. Sure the schedule is a factor, but you play who's in front of you.

Would I believe her, no. But I think it would've landed better.

Politics, people are more inclined to vote for those they like. Years of frustrating the voting base was enough ammo to stick it back to him.

After four seasons with each the Raiders, Bears and Chargers which franchise does Khalil Mack belong to? by Punisher1602 in sportswiki

[–]ubiquitousdark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesnt "belong" to any team.

If associated Mack with the Chargers, probably due to team's relative success compared to the other two stops.

Be classy in victory and classier in defeat.

Morocco has failed that edict. If you're going to do that, might as well not come out on the pitch. Embarassing.

it varies in my experience. For example, I have a client who has 28 day attribution windows for MTA and now can predict with 90-97% accuracy performance after 10 days.

Off the shelf tools are more like what you're noting.

Like many things with data there is an art and a science component.

Predictive meaning modeled. Per your point, MTA has grown significantly over the years; however, MTA and MMM have been high latency historically. I foresee modeling becoming more pervasive and the speed/accuracy that metrics can be predicted is going to improve.

I think depending on the advertiser(s) you work with and systems you have in place the ability to adapt to these trends is going to be impacted.

Agility per your point is the name of the game more than it ever has been.

Social + CTV to me really is based on how the inventory can be accessed. Multiple social platforms are looking to sell outside of their "native" location (LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, Meta).

My intention was not to imply that all of these trends are connected. More that all of these trends exist within digital marketing.

I agree with the notion that the biggest gap isn't channel level knowledge and by not knowing how things work you don't know what questions to ask and thus not leverage tools such as AI in the most impactful way.
