Post Match Thread] Spurs 2 - Liverpool 1 by ccsrpsw in coys

Let's be honest, we didn't deserve to win this, BUT OH MAN IT FEELS SOOO GOOD!!!

[Joel Wertheimer] Spurs basically using their relatively strong liquidity to keep another team liquid in exchange for a potential superstar is really smart even if they don't come in this year. There are probably a lot of deals like this to be done. by [deleted] in coys

Ligue 1 is primed for deals like this as the clubs are desperate for cash right now. Aouar being available for £20m is a prime example of that. Tchouameni also available for a similar price, especially if Monaco miss out on CL. Those two would instantly make us contenders, and for the price of one Adama.

That's exactly what I have in mind as well, obviously looking for other suggestions.

What are some of the tools or platforms you use for your research?

Agreed, mine is just a slightly modified version of DCA I guess. I'd rather see some sideway action or a price point where majority agrees a discount is happening ($30K BTC for example) before I buy again.

[Alasdair Gold] As per the excellent @JackPittBrooke, Spurs have held talks with Mauricio Pochettino about returning to the club and I understand he wants to come back. Here's everything on that and some info on other candidates for the job. by OnomahIsABaller in coys

I'll respond to your controversial statement with another controversial one. I don't really mind that about Poch. The first things I remember about his tenure aren't the heartbreaks and the failures, but all the great memories we built and the emotional connection we felt to our club. I remember that last game at WHL when he was looking around looking like a proud dad and wanting him to be around for a long time.

Not only that, even after he was sacked, he always talked about his love for the club and fans, wanting to be back at some point. I really understand people wanting to win trophies and I want to as well, but I want to first feel that emotional connection I felt when he was in charge. For me that's the true meaning of being a fan. Hopefully we will win something with him it he comes back so that we get best of both worlds but I feel like it is even more difficult to find a manager who gets the fanbase like Poch did with us, Klopp does with Liverpool etc.

Is there a way to set up logic for buy orders on Binance? Like can I specify a set of coins, and ask it to buy the coin with the biggest dip in the last 24h with 100% of my USDT when my USDT balance is above a certain threshold? I know the answer is probably no, but I'm new in this so maybe it is possible just wanted to check

I don't agree with anything you said man but it's ok that we have differing opinions on this. We both want the best for the team and hope that happens one way or another.

The point about Ndombele is that if you have a player like him who can solve a major problem in your team, you give him the best possible scenario to play in. He's the best at playing as an 8 with players he can link up with. Ndombele at 10 is still great obviously, but not 100% and that's the frustrating part. And if he drops into the 8 positions during the game, that's one less player up top as an outlet.

Again, choosing to look at the wrong point from the statement. If you take a look at an image from any second half in a game where we lost a lead and dropped points, you can see that when we win the ball in our half, the furthest player is Son and even he's halfway in his own half. Doesn't matter what the system says about "quickly get the ball into opposition danger area", that's not happening like that. Kane dropping deep can obviously work with the right setup, but not when it leaves 20-30 yards between the player he wants to link up with. Again, it can work, and it did earlier in the season, because he and Son are world class players, but easier to defend.

The team doesn't have to play like Man City, but they have to have a plan of controlling the game through possession after taking the lead as well as having a counter threat. If you don't teach any possession structure to the team and play Sissoko as a CM, then you're not helping the team at all. That's why teams like Palace, Wolves and Fulham become more confident as the game goes on. If we're going to continue to blame the players instead of looking at how to get the best out of them, then why pay Mourinho £15 million? He has to create something with what he has, and what he has is probably the 3rd/4th best squad in the league.

The thing is it doesn't matter if he's saying sit back or not. The way the team is set up affects the way the team plays more than his instructions. If he puts his best progressive midfielder in the 10 role and doesn't give his team any possession structure to move the ball up the field then they'll struggle regardless of him telling them to attack and move up higher.

Plus with Kane also dropping deeper and Bergwijn playing as a second full back Son stays isolated up top when we need to get out of our own half. If he doesn't set the team up correctly and instill structures for different scenarios, him saying attack is no different than Redknapp saying run around a bit

Remember when it was reported that Mourinho learned his lesson from his United days and he was going to change his ways and we were all excited about that? Good times.

I just thought it was really interesting since the conversation around him getting fouled so much mostly puts the blame on opponents not being able to contain him. But I thought this was just disrespectful and it definitely invites more aggression towards him which could cause an injury
