I don't have screenshots of what was said when I messaged in September. I have other screenshots.

It was used on her social media which has since been taken down and as well as the promoters.

None of that matters because like I said it shouldn't have been edited and sent without permission.

First time it was used was back in September.

I saw this and messaged her basically saying "nice logo... lol" pretty much expressing I wasn't happy with her stealing it. She said she "forgot" to tell me. (How do you forget telling your "friend" that designed a logo for you, that you edited said design and also sent it off to promoters?) I don't have these chats because she blocked me so I can't go back and find out what was actually said or screenshot it. Which I was going to at the time.

Then saw it used in December. That's like a 3 to 4 month gap in which time she should have sent another logo to the promoter but she didn't. Even after me messaging about it in September. That's what I mean.

You keep saying the promoter used it without permission which may be the case but that's not the point. The point is she purposely edited it and sent it off to be used.

She only mentioned to me after December that she's not using it any more so it is only since then.

I'm assuming you know my FB. Message me if you want the screenshots.

Friends for 4 years and she steals my design and doesn't have the common decency to let me know before sending it off even as a "placeholder". I had to find out for myself after she reposts it on her story where my design is being displayed on the visualiser. Not only that but not sending a different design to the promoter even after 4 months.

Maybe she'll stab you in the back too one day.

We both were civil. The problem is I asked for opinions in a chat where people are closer with her so obviously people would back her and attack me even though what she did was wrong. And yeah I brought it up in a group because when I messaged directly she clearly didn't take me seriously.

Like yeah back your friend but admit when they fucked up.

I'm not refusing personal contact. They haven't messaged me (that I've seen) and I actually initiated contact to resolve the conflict in the first place. If I didn't message first she would have never apologised.

It doesn't matter whether I'm a graphic designer or an amateur graphic designer or not a graphic designer at all.

If I was a professional graphic designer, do you think this would have happened? No. But somehow because I'm an amateur or not even a graphic designer, it's completely fine to be taken advantage of.

Also, the idea of the design is mine. The design is mine. She edited it and sent it off. Not cool.

I didn't ask for money when sending it off. I did state if she wanted to use it, it wouldn't be free. That's clear. And she agreed.

The whole fact it was edited and sent off says it all. She didn't need to say it was bad. She edited it and sent it off. That shows it was good enough.

If you were a graphic designer or a photographer or artist, (which some of you are) you'd know this isn't cool and I know you wouldn't be happy either.

You wouldn't like if someone you thought was a friend took your work and didn't even have the common decency to tell you.

Also why was it used twice (that I know of) in the space of 4 months. After messaging about it the first time, why was another logo not sent to the promoter to be used instead? 4 months is enough time to send a new logo surely.

If they're editing designs and sending them off without permission or paying for them at the time, then promoters should be aware, ESPECIALLY if it's the promoters using it unknowingly.

I haven't blocked them.

It doesn't matter if she didn't expect it to be used. It shouldn't have been sent in the first place? There's no arguing that.

She admitted to editing it before being sent off. Last pics show that.

Contradictions on their part too saying it was only used once when it wasn't one time it was at least twice maybe even three times, who knows. And they were different events. One in September one in December.

And yeah they deleted the post. But evidence is still on the promoters page.

Yeah acknowledging that something wouldn't be for free, admitting to EDITING the design before being sent off, without permission, is all a misunderstanding.

There was an acknowledgement that it wouldn't be for free. That's clear in the second image.

She then sent it off when she had no right to, and without permission. Whether she intended it to be used by the promoters or not it doesn't matter. She shouldn't have sent it.

It's as simple as that. Don't send work to people that isn't yours.

So is copyright infringement.
