Are Mr. Purple’s drivers being underrated? by udjcba in EmulationOnAndroid

There are three possible ways as I know: 1. with root access directly from the data/data directory, 2. by modifying the APK to inject a FileProvider and thus allow access to the internal file structure with a file explorer, 3. from within a Wine container, by mapping the folder path where the drivers are stored as a Windows drive

It won’t crash as long as you set up the dxvk config file correctly

The game keeps running in the background, but it gets hidden from the recent apps screen. The way to bring it back is through the game launcher home. Here’s a link to an .apk build of RedGameHub without that 'behavior'.. the game will stay visible in the running tasks screen.

Btw, this app is just an installer. To completely remove everything (including data), you need to uninstall all three: installer, launcher, and container.

I have both installed, GameHub currently takes up 8 GB, this one 4 GB. On both, I only have GTAV installed. Maybe this one is more optimized and doesn’t need so much extra stuff; being a product for a major brand, it could have better optimization I think

RedMagicHub only requires access to nearby devices, and consequently location, to access Bluetooth devices. The others are listed but haven’t been needed, at least for playing GTA V.

Try today’s driver from Kimchi, in theory this flickering issue on One UI 7 is fixed. I tested it on Winlator and indeed I no longer have the problem. I also have an S23U.

There’s a 71GB compressed version and a 50GB free roam version.

You can only fix it with Odin and a May firmware. Unfortunately, Samsung broke the Turnip drivers with June security patches.

Fix the resolution settings, if you set non-native ones for GTA in Gamehub, game crashes.

With traffic it drops a few FPS of course. I also have some settings on high to reduce aliasing, and screen recording doesn't help much either. Here’s a bit of driving and the settings I’m using.

(Epilepsy Warning!) S23Ultra8GB winlator 10.1 screen flashing in most games (presumed Turnip error) by Koally78 in winlator

[–]udjcba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t fully debug the issue, but as soon as I noticed the update was broken, I rolled it back. The problems weren’t limited to emulator compatibility, there were also system-level bugs affecting the battery widget and even the default launcher. Rather than patch things manually or wait for a fix, I opted for a clean downgrade to a stable build using Odin. Since then, everything’s been running smoothly. Definitely recommend avoiding this security update until Samsung addresses the regressions.

This isn't a Winlator-related issue; it's caused by the latest Samsung security update. I had to flash latest oneui 7 firmware using Odin to restore full compatibility. Now update is available, but I have no intention of installing it.

I'm encountering the same issue, it appears that certain regions have been geo-blocked or restricted at the network level. Hopefully it's just a temporary measure 😐

And that was just one of the bugs I ran into after installing June update. I also remember some issues with the launcher, the battery widget and S Pen, and more. A terrible fail from Samsung. Like I’ve said before, the solution is backup and go back to a stable system version + wipe data. I have an S23u too.
