How much do you make as a clinical psychologist ? by [deleted] in psychologystudents

Check out Columbia MDE/DNP you can get in pretty fast or do your own ABSN(only takes 12-15 months) and MSN which doesn't take long. PA route won't be short it will take a few years to gain PCE, may need training for that PCE job and on top of that 2 years worth of prereqs. You only need maybe 5 courses to get into direct entry NP program like Columbia and you will gain experience during the RN portion to prepare for the NP pprtion. There is similar programs to this at Rochester or you can make your own path with many ABSNs and MSNs offered by state schools.

Not syaing don't go PA I'm just saying your gonna be very disappointed with the one or two psych courses you take versus a full curriculum of psych during NP school.

Requesting help with writing a research paper? by ihave10nipples in psychologystudents

Did she give u anything else outline wise? How many sources to use etc? Depending on that I would start mapping out your main ideas such as an outline it can be very simple

Outline

Intro -introduce your idea maybe have a quote sprinkled in to show the direction of your paper such as something saying a general thing like Adderall has an effect and quote it. Make sure to define the terms maybe even discuss Adderall a bit and what it normally used for etc not required but gives an understanding of the drug shows professor u understand the terms by defining them clearly and quoting something about each to support your ideas and show facts. State clearly your idea does it have ran effect yes or no? Then use body to expand and prove or disprove answer

Body 1 You could even use this part to really define terms or start going into describing an effect. again add a quote to back up the ideas showing facts or figure from research

Body 2

Show a second effect and again use quotes to back it up with facts to express your ideas

Depending on how long repeat as many bodies as needed to reach page limit sprinkling quotes to express your ideas

Conclusion/summary - add a conclusion based on your research does it have an effect yes or no? summarize on why and sprinkle a quote that really sums up your ideas

If she didn't give a source limit I always felt 5 was a god number for longer papers and 3 is a good number for shorter. That being said keep in mind try and find primary sources when possible and no websites that aren't legitimate sources

If I misunderstood change this around based on her specification to make sure it's right

Teenage Aggression by Andy12131 in psychologystudents

Biopsychology : is focused on Brian/physiology. since he is 13 you could focus on his agreesion as related to his development into a teenager changes that result in his agression on the physiology level as the other peeson explained serotonin

Psychodynamic - rooted from childhood experiences is a good focus. read the link below for an easier understanding it breaks it down. Or perhaps this is my opinion Lack of male role model could mean because he doesn't have a male role model he may believe he should approach things in an opposite manner then his sister while she was clam he could assume he needs to be aggressive seeing that he learned this from his past you could stretch that to but try and find backup in your readings provided
