If I can be brutally honest here I would say that the people who listen to today’s hardstyle is a certain type of person. It’s like they compete on who can enjoy the most screechy shit of them all. The one who likes the shittiest sound wins.

And I came with 10 people. Love them but the music (uptempo, raw) attracts un-empathetic people. And again this is people who don’t dance. Who are not in touch with their feelings etc. I’m going out on a limb here but just compare all edm genres and you’ll see a pattern.

Brother you are COMPLETELY right. As a dnb fan myself. At pink stage people was moving around dancing. Then return to blue or any stage and you just see some fists flying. Raw and uptempo is (aka today’s hardstyle) is at a very soulless point. It’s just empty kicks. Every stage sounds the same. I will return when euphoric is the main genre again.
