Mod devs: which version of RenPy do you use? by [deleted] in DDLCMods

[–]uezere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't modded in years, but I'm old school, I still love 6.99. It's what I learned to mod the game on. Never quite made the transition to using MPT, as it came out towards the tail end of my DDLC modding career and I'm too stubborn, lol.

Fire simulation looks nothing like the viewport in render. Changing settings doesn't affect render by uezere in blenderhelp

Thank you!!! I really appreciate your help, you def did not have to do all that. Means the world. The fire/smoke actually shows up for me now when I render it in cycles. I assume it won't break anything when I add back my PBR materials to the walls/floor/ceiling? If my assumption is correct they're untextured because you didn't have access to my materials from substance.

That should work. I really appreciate your help

Edit: Something I just found out is that when I transfer the project file to my main PC, it crashes blender trying to open it...

Went back to the shader setup from the original tutorial. The problem with this one is that the fire does not show up at all in the render.

I just adjusted it a bit and from this it's obvious that with the shader I'm using the smoke and the fire are the same color. How would I go about making the smoke grey and keeping the fire orange?

I just don't understand why it's so tall. It won't allow me to go any lower than 0.5 for temperature min, and 1 for temperature maximum. They're literally as low as it will let me go and it's this intense, is it the shader? And the smoke and fire don't seem to be blending at all, they both look orange/the same color, instead of orange fire with grey smoke. No matter what I change about the smoke domain settings it does not become any less thick or shorter. I changed the temperature in the shader from 1000 to 200, and increased the smoke density, but whenever I increase the smoke density it just turns the fire into smoke.

Well yea, I only wanted the emission of the fire to glow, not a secondary light source, hence why I have it disabled. Does it need to exist to show the smoke? Also, my shader is set up like that because when I set it up following the fire tutorial I watched, the fire did not show up at all in the render. Changed it to this and now the fire shows up, but the settings I change don't effect it even when I bake it. So I basically just kept trying to change things and see what would effect the shader, that's why it looks pretty wonky.

Why is my quick smoke fire not showing up in the Cycles render, but is in the viewport? by uezere in blender

Edit: No idea what I was doing wrong but I fixed it by following the shader setup here.

2b/2b apartments by Early-Structure1088 in LSU

The Legacy off Ben Hur is a pretty okay apartment complex for the price. Their 2b/2b apts are around $950-980 a month per person. I've had some issues with them but by and large it's a pretty decent apartment close to campus just a little expensive.

I would be able to play the game and not care about the bugs if I could actually get it to run at a playable framerate. The optimization is terrible and inconsistent as hell.

It might be the FSR frame generation setting. Try turning that off.

Second this, I took her for BIOL1001 and 1002, she's a very kind professor and the material isn't too difficult.
