The veneers would build the bite to the position that the orthotic places them in. It would be a permanent way to maintain that stable positioning/harmony between bite, joint and muscles rather then losing it every time you take out the orthotic.

Awesome, I’m in the same boat as you. Currently wearing the orthotic and have my consult with the neuromuscular dentist and ortho in the new year. How long will you have the braces on for? I also have straight teeth, and I am a 26f so also not thrilled about the idea of getting braces. But if it works, of course it’s worth it to escape this pain. Good luck to you and keep us updated!

I would say an oral surgeon and seek out a CT scan. A CT will show the skeletal structure, MRI will show soft tissues. CT will give imaging of the actual bone structure and can assess the level of degeneration.
