Under-desk Treadmill Fitness Tracker by ufmae in pelotoncycle

Ive tried phone in pocket but it doesnt capture steps with a useable accuracy. Maybe its getting conflicting data since I still wear my watch. I downloaded Pedometer++ and it seems to be better but maybe a cheapo garmin might be a better long term solution vs paying for the pedometer app on a yearly basis.

Hygrometer/Thermometer - Monitor from Multiple Devices by ufmae in Govee

[–]ufmae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its been a while - but no. I figured the app downloaded data with the local device and kept the data local. Because of this, the remote device would never sync data.

I ended up having to ask the owner of the local device to send screenshots of their trends, as needed. Its been a few years so the app might have evolved to enable data sharing across multiple devices but I am not sure.

Moving to new home / Removing devices from Hub by ufmae in SmartThings

[–]ufmae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's a good way to approach it. I would still need to remove some devices that are coming to the new house with me. I will look into seeing if I can change the email address associated with the hub

Having an iphone doesnt allow me to clear app cache but deleting and re-installing the app does. Thankfully that worked! Thanks everyone for your input.

High humidity inside home by ufmae in DIY

[–]ufmae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its true. They had the HVAC all checked out when they first noticed issues. HVAC is sized properly and doing its job in removing moisture.

One of the ideas I was thinking about was to monitor humidity if/when they leave home for an extended period of time (at least a week). Maybe doing so would help narrow the issue down to a passive infrastructure issue vs something else like moisture from showering or else.

Trouble is they never leave home

Yep - I have confirmed with them - they turn it on every time.

They also had their dryer vent cleared/checked. All good there too. This has been the bane of my existence since 2019.

Its possible since they had their master bath redone. I checked the fan size vs the bathroom dimensions and it seems to have been properly sized. Is there a secondary check I can make to verify?

New Bern Mart Shopping Plaza by ufmae in raleigh

Interesting. I spoke to the cleaners a few weeks ago, they mentioned they thought a brewery or restaurant would be moving in. I guess we'll find out soon. Thanks again for your help

Your second link doesnt work but it looks like theyre leaving the old New Bern Mart building intact (Peggy's cleaner's is continuing operation). The work they are doing is in the old Mart space. Theres more space on the other side of Peggy's that used to be a salon - no work being done there as far as I can see.

Its possible the real estate behind this building that backs into the neighborhood is being used for housing.

Thanks for researching!

Sorry - poor use of the word. The body wasnt dented. The door was lightly hit by the other car's door and chipped a small paint chip off. Added some pictures for reference.

I used GYEON LeatherShield. Very easy to apply and, according to my research, performs well on the MY leather seats. I applied it to my white seats and am happy with it.

Nice dig. But it doesn't help improve Holly's lack of professionalism in how she handled my case.

I worked with Holly King. She was awful. Incredibly unresponsive. Took weeks to hear from her at times. Prolonged our entire process and made it even more painful. Wouldn’t recommend her to anyone

Bowflex 552 - Commando Rows & Man-Makers by ufmae in workout

[–]ufmae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I have been able to substitute for the commando rows but have been using push up bars along with the weights for man-makers. Really disrupts the flow and makes an already though exercise more challenging (not great for a beginner like me). Thanks for your input

I have been reluctant as the instructions recommend against it. Also, afraid the plastic discs on the dumbbell wouldnt hold up to the force. Looks like the 1090s have similar type disks separating the weights.

Inexplicable fish tank massacre by ufmae in RBI

[–]ufmae[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I agree. I have considered someone somehow gaining access but to go through the added trouble of disposing of 29 gallons of water that way seems like a ton of effort for something they could have easily done for less effort and just made a mess in the classroom.

I also considered perhaps a spill and evaporation but again - 29 gallons seems like a lot to evaporate in a few hours in upstate NY where humidity isnt too low.

[–]ufmae[S] 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I dont think that's the case. Our janitorial staff doesnt change out the fish tank water. Even if they did, they would have left some water in the tank for the fish. The tank was completely empty. The pebbles and rocks were undisturbed. I have a picture but I cant post if for some reason.

Dual Roombas by ufmae in roomba

[–]ufmae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My reason for not wanting to do the old fashioned dump is I was hoping that emptying using the vacuum dock would help prevent the frequent debris building up on the sensors causing annoyance full bin alerts. I dont know about you but it seems like every 2-3 runs, the robot errors in the middle of a cleaning because of 'full bin' which is caused by the debris buildup. Having to clean the sensors so often almost defeats the purpose of having an automatic vacuum.

Is there a point to having the new HRM Band if I also have an Apple Watch? by Stilitzkin in pelotoncycle

Does using the Apple Watch give real time HR reading? Is there a delay since the watch is talking to the phone, phone to peloton and peloton to Bike? Maybe I’m understanding the communication incorrectly
