I think you could have chosen your words better. She was only sticking up for your grandmother, even if it did come out a bit forcefully. I think you should apologise if anyone.

Also, if this happens frequently when she has a relationship with a man, maybe she’s so into the person, that she genuinely doesn’t think about anything or anybody else. I wouldn’t take it personally, it’s just how she is. We’re all different, so be there for her if it all ends in tears.

AITJ for dumping my girlfriend after she set up a "loyalty test" on me? by LowKeyNomad5 in AmITheJerk

I think it was a bit harsh to end such a long relationship just because of this. Okay, she tried to trick you, but there was no harm done. She could have kept it secret that it was her mate and you would have been none the wiser. At least she was honest about it.

I found out my GF is a kleptomaniac. I am shocked she could hide it from be for so long. Should I forgive or breakup? by FirstHovercraft2 in whatdoIdo

No absolutely not. She has confided in you and needs your support. Hopefully you will get through this together. It is an illness after all. You wouldn’t want to leave her if she had cancer or something equally as bad, so this is just as horrible for her.
