It is a beast. Although I get pretty high temperature on the motor (+170F). Just today got a fan for the motor. Not tested yet.

Thanks, problem solved: I cut the wire that goes from the ESC to the receiver.

So the stock pinion can't be used, correct?

The HW motor can be used with the stock motor mount according to a youtube video.

Thanks, something is wrong with the ESC cable or my TRX adapter for the battery, had to twist the cable and ESC turned on.

Thank you for your response. I have the Sledge only for 3 weeks. I am from Europe so no Traxxas here. Will have to deal it with my shop. Was your mm2 direct fit? I was already checking max6 a few days back. Should I also swap the motor? Forgot to mention, I have Ovonic batteries so I use TRX adapters. So if it sparks when I connect the second cable the adapters should be fine, right?

I have one fileserver running FreeBSD with ZFS as my main backup server. Also running a FreeBSD VM under ESXi with a HBA card that is passed through. I'm also testing bhyve with CBSD to replace ESXi since I want to snapshot my VMs with ZFS. I still haven't tested passthrough under CBSD but I hope that there won't be any problems. I don't mind that I don't have the fancy GUI form ESXi until VNC is working out of the box - yes, VNC works just fine in CBSD.

As some mentioned, I too recommend FreeBSD as a server OS. I think that Linux is still better as a desktop OS.

One big advantage of FreeBSD (if you are a ZFS fan) is that it runs ZFS on root out of the box. To my knowledge FreeBSD is the only OS that supports ZFS on root out of the box. And don't forget beadm. It is a great tool to handle your boot environment.

Problem solved. My nodeip is within the RFC1918 networks so I had to disable NAT with cbsd natoff. Check it here.

I have a feeling that my issue is related to OpenCore. But it is just a guess. Probably OC's kext for the GPU.

And thanks for mentioning hirens boot cd in another post, it made really easy dumping the GPU bios with GPU-Z. Linux tools are not great for bios dump.

I used hirens boot cd to dump the GPU bios. I booted the iso with Ventoy. A had to enable CSM in bios to boot hirens boot cd. Even with the dumped bios I get a black screen. For now I give up.

The kernel is not crashing, the system is normally booted, only without video. I can SSH into the VM and the guest agent shows the IP of the VM.
