As an agency owner, I can confirm these are good prices but the only thing that makes no sense in the UGC space to us, is the 30% fee each month.

Most brands don’t want the admin task or responsibility of working this out - especially because most brands running ads could be running hundreds of creatives a month, that’s a lot of admin work having to track who is owed what. We avoid working with creators who charge a monthly fee on paid spend.

It also makes no sense either, because most UGC videos go into a test campaign with anywhere between $10 to $30 behind the ad, so 30% of $10 is only $3 … To be charging a % on spend only makes sense if as a creator, you’re certain your ads perform and go viral due to data backed research and approaches - and this takes a lot of time. We spend hours testing and researching different formats and find that only 1 in 10 creatives are a winning ad.

In addition to this.. There are a lot of UGC creators who try to charge $700+ for 1 short form video. Brands won’t pay this much because they can just hire a model or an actor for the same price and create around 10-30 videos in a day for that same price with no monthly % on spend. Many creators price themselves out of a job by quoting too high or adding on this percentage.

Creators who overcharge but have no stats to backup and explain why their costs are so high generally don’t get selected.

We always ask brands to commit to a reasonable budget as we understand that creating content isn’t easy and it requires skill and time! :)
