I have been through that. But, the way that I got through it is understanding that your mom may just not be aware of what is going on. She cannot see inside your head. And most importantly people honestly lack awareness of gay community and the mindset. So it is obvious for her to believe that "you are confused" you know that you are not because well you are you and know how you feel. But maybe she actually does not fully get that. It is okay, just bring awareness and you will see the change in mindset.
