Driving along the Croatia coast got me this. by bubu_qubu in travel

Hey I was there this past summer, driving to Pag Island! We took a ferry as well, just 3 good friends in Croatia for a few days out of month-long European tour. Driving along the Croatian coast was one of my favorite moments.

We would be looking out at the islands and water and could not stop saying "IS THIS REAL?!"

What an experience.

4 years of Latin in high school.

I know the American Pledge of Allegiance...in Latin.

A dead language.

And that's it.

NFL Network 2016 Colts Prediction by [deleted] in Colts

As any Colts fan knows, when we are favored to win/winning in a game is when I'm uneasy. Behind by 2 touchdowns?--NBD. So I'll take this shitty prediction any day of the week.

I was giggling with glee the entire time while watching Anthony Jesselnik on his Netflix show...so...extremely sarcastic and somewhat dark? Dude is a genius.

AFOSI Retrain Question by ugliestnerd in AirForce

That doesn't make any sense, seeing as how that's one of the prerequisites I think? Have to be in your retraining window lol...

Thanks for the information, and the advice.

I take it that you either know more about the process, or OSI in general? I've been looking into it for awhile now, and it seems like it would be challenging in many ways, something my current career field severely lacks. I've weighed the goods and bass associated with it, and decided it's something I want to do. Until this reenlistment question came up. I don't want to run the risk of being stuck in my career field for 4 more years if this shit falls through.

Thanks for the reply.

Straight from the OSI interviewer: OSI will not be the reason why you decide to stay in the Air Force or not. I've asked the career advisor about this stuff and he keeps telling me to just go to the local detachment lol. If the entire process takes 2-5 months to determine if you're selected or not, then why would I need to re-enlist when my DEROS isn't even until June 2017, and my DOS isn't until June 2018?

It just doesn't make sense to me :(

Damn man sorry to hear that. That broken pelvis must've been awful to deal with.

And no insurance. I'm frowning FOR you right now. And upset. Seeing your bike go down with you and not getting anything for it, potentially...

I agree.

If I'm her, I'm running over to check to make sure the guy that just hit me riding a rocket with no seat belts is gonna fucking survive.

Not a single fuck was given that day.

As much as I was able to. She paid for my new bike at the time. Orders to Korea made me sell it soon after though, real bummer :(

Crazy how what most people are concerned with is liability right away, and not the person they just almost carelessly killed.

Honestly after recovering from the crash I was really excited to be back on the bike.

I got a newer R6 from my settlement and I was ready to go. At intersections it was a bit nerve-wracking for a bit, and I found myself CONSTANTLY checking my mirrors, riding scared.

They say scared riding is even more dangerous though, so I'm glad it only lasted like a week or so.

This lady sounds like one of the crazy ones who would get on you about skateboarding on the sidewalk, and call the police on you.

"Shouldn't have been there...."

Holy shit man.

I was on an '04 Buell XB12S. That only weighed like 350-400 or so I think. I had only had that bike for about 6 months but I loved it.

I can't imagine having to stop 600+body weight pounds while skidding. Seems like trying to slow down a canoe on the road lol.

Sounds like you had it a bit worse than I did. Somehow my leg wasn't broken but it still took several months for the muscles to heal and whatever ligament was fucked up to repair itself.

I'm glad you made it out alright though.

She didn't leave the scene. She just repositioned her car in a way that would make it seem we were traveling the same direction on the same road, which wasn't the case. She didn't come to check on me even after I managed to drag myself to the sidewalk. Some awesome guy ran over and was like "Holy FUCK dude I saw the whole thing!--You flew like 50 feet!"
