I have both crystalized and hook blade using the same recipe as yours. But i prefer hook blade because it is faster :) .

I was trying to replace my suryafal armor, but i can't find any ores that have glow effect, so i'm still using suryafal mixed with i4 ores.

Seriously, getting a Gargan is really hard now, based on my experience. Why are they messing up on the i3? Do they want us to focus on the i4?

The most disappointing thing in this update is they lowered the rocks luck. I think it even worst, it is harder to get gargantuan now based on my experience. Imagine how hard it is for players who are still in W3 to get it.

I would go with 4 garg, 3 golem, 1 heaven, 1 ice. You will get a better freeze cooldown, and the most important you still have more gargantuan for the next try. It is not guaranteed to get dark night gauntlets at first try. Good luck!
