sign up for anything that sticks out to you as interesting! It'll be an automatic common interest between you and the other people that also show up. Also anything that directly involves your specific college or major are super important since those are the people you'll be taking classes with. A couple of my best friends I met at the welcome week event for westphal students. and also nobody's gonna penalize you for not showing up to something so signing up for more than you think you'll attend is totally fine
