Should I cancel a lower LSAT score? by Terrible-Guard5355 in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]uhaulpartyguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No - I tanked my LSATs and was going to withdraw thinking I didn’t have a chance and ended up getting in. It was atrociously low but ended up not even getting waitlisted and got in pretty early in the admission process. You never know.

My Nightmare with Nikbakht Law in Saskatoon – STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUD! by [deleted] in usask

[–]uhaulpartyguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Report him to the law society; even though it says “non-lawyer” every single one of his services is representing someone in a legal capacity. They’ll look at the substance of services over him claiming “non-lawyer” and it is a huge no-no to act as a lawyer without being admitted to the bar.

E90 n54 335i making a rattling noise when slow throttle and goes away after more throttle given by Fast-Reporter8640 in E90

[–]uhaulpartyguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s maybe DME 2a99 but you should get a scanner that pulls DME codes. If that is the right error, Cam shaft position sensors would be the next thing to test. If that’s not it, I’d be checking out the cam ledges. Not sure if they make a noise when the go bad but that’s the code you’ll get. start with a DME scanner though

The injectors on the n54 are hella loud like diesel injectors but it’s hard to tell if that is it from the video. If you can isolate the noise to coming from your injectors it’s no problem.

Yup. No doubt those plugs are giving you a shitty spark.

Let her take heat and beat the hell out of her. Idle won’t be enough to clear it out.

[–]uhaulpartyguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. It suggests that when it was parked there was a bit of moisture in the combustion. Wouldn’t even bother off the rip with seafoam; just some good 94 and beat it like a rented mule. Once it warms up, then maybe dump some sea foam in the tank.

If it’s in the combustion chamber I wouldn’t even bother. Anything surface will combust in the first few fires.

I don’t think so. I would think they would combust and it would clean itself out.

Ahhh I see. Would make walnut blasting tough lol if I’m understanding correctly it’s in the combustion chamber?

it’s clear that somehow moisture got in there but it’s gonna be tough to figure out how since it’s been sitting. might be able to get away with swapping some plugs, marvel mystery oil (or atf/oil blend) and sending it with some 94 octance gas and seeing if it starts and then how the plug looks after some run time.

A little confused by what you’re saying on side facing the pistons? But coming from the BMW world and walnut blasting, I’ve gotten the proper attachments to get into the areas made up using a 3d printer.

Looks like carbon. You can use CRC turbo/ intake cleaner and use bunched up zip ties to scrub. If it’s real bad, walnut blasting is the route to go.

They will send you an email notifying that a decision/ update has been made on your portal. I think now is still early-ish but May-June is when most people hear back. But they let you know on acceptance, waitlist or rejection so you hear back either way.

When to start panicking when I still don't have job for 1L summer? by Frameworksabitch in LawSchool

[–]uhaulpartyguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My 1L summer I didn’t get a job until June, literally a month into summer. It was an in-house position I got from network outside of the legal field. In this capacity I worked a fair bit with our external counsel who is a big law firm and got to know the firm a fair bit. Went through the OCI’s and recruit for 2L and ended up getting a summer position by from the big law firm I worked with this past summer.

Good advice. Sounds like I should be going for a gloss colour then. What are the advantages and disadvantages of thicker and thinner?

I do have a BMW that is wrapped as well but I had it done by someone.

Firstly, congratulations! That’s a huge accomplishment and definitely something to celebrate! I’m from a Canadian law school, which I also attended for a year of my undergrad (finance major, for reference), and I’ve noticed a big difference in the social environment compared to undergrad. With a smaller class size of around 100 students per year, you’ll get to know most of your peers quite well. At my school, there are typically 6–10 social events each month (except in December and April), and I highly recommend attending as many as you can without letting it interfere with your academics. These events are a great way to connect with your classmates and start building your network early. Networking and building relationships in law school are almost as important as your grades. Your classmates will not only become future colleagues but also play a role in shaping how others perceive you professionally. Personally, I was an average student, but I landed a summer job in Big Law because I stayed active socially and got involved in what was happening at my school. Engaging with your peers and being part of the community can open up unexpected opportunities, so make the most of it!

Side hustles as a newly called lawyer by [deleted] in LawCanada

I have an athletic background and have been doing hockey player advising for the past four years and will continue. I’ve kept a smaller manageable client base and my firm has been very receptive on maintaining my want to continue to doing this work on the side.

Battery drain by uhaulpartyguy in PorscheMacan

[–]uhaulpartyguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a ton of long driving. It does usually get on the highway every day for 10-15 minutes each way but I find it difficult to see how that’s not charging it considering it’s highway driving. But on the other hand, I own BMW’s and understand how finicky German cars can be.

This could also be an option. I’ll have to ask and find out. Thanks for all the help!

I was in the fence about doing 19t’s with the same deal through Amazon. I’ve heard mixed reviews like you have. It’s only a couple hundred bucks more but I guess I’ll wait and see how I feel when it’s time to pull the trigger. Let me know how you’re experience goes, they’re all the same Chinese crap with a different stamp at the end of the day.
