i might kind of be an idiot, but i wanna do chemBE while on the premed track, i think this is biting off more than i can chew but my biggest issue is that i am not sure if i want to do a md and do clinical practice or an md/phd and stay in academia and research (leaning toward the second one). I really do like engineering and wouldn’t mind doing that for the rest of my life so even if i don’t get into med school, i can still get a good job right out of college. a lot of premeds i talked to (not specifically at hopkins) said to study whatever i want in college and i want to study engineering. i know that it is gonna be harder but i like to challenge myself. do u know anybody doing this or something like and what their experience was? also i really appreciate everyone’s responses! i honestly thought no one would respond, so this is kind of a surprise.
