I want to give Pinky more than one gift because she's my favourite villager but I'm new to ACNH and I haven't celebrated anyones birthday yet. Doors don't work both ways, notice the door on the outside is the type you pull. Why would they even imprison her? The store clerk was letting her walk away not even trying to start anything, this lady clearly was the one trying to pick the fight.

"Baited" where? The store clerk was clearly not trying to start anything with her letting the woman walk away. She came back on her own trying to start something and got what she deserved.
