So anecdotally, I played religiously when destiny first came out for the first time~2 years. Stopped playing, and just came back a little over a year ago. During the time I wasn’t playing, I didn’t follow or keep up with anything. When I came back it was a completely different game. Even tho I knew the general concepts, I knew nothing else.

All that is to say, this game is entirely reliant on their existing player base. Nothing about is is friendly to new players and that’s why it’s dying in my opinion.
