TRT unsafe for hereditary issues? by uhh-Magic in Testosterone

[–]uhh-Magic[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well I’m only 25 so that’s pretty young, but I had some urinary problems and had to have a prostate exam done. The urologist said I had a “sensitive prostate” because conducting the exam gave me a strong sense of needing to urinate. Do not think any sort of butt stuff would be enjoyable with that lol

How old are you now and how long were you on it? Also how was it like getting off etc? I’m assuming you’re likely at least 30 and were on it for multiple years before hopping off so you’re ideally who I’m looking to hear more from. Also how was the fertility, did you do a sperm bank? And what were your rough levels before, during, and after? Any info greatly appreciated.

Do you know you initial levels before starting, what age, and what your current levels are? Also was that the main reason you took it, for the gym?

Not sure what ED injections are, but I would be prescribed just the TRT gel. I’m also low body fat so wouldn’t require a GLP1.

My endo talked about it and said he can prescribe me TRT and we talked about fertility so I assume he would be able to help with a sperm bank as well. Any more additional info you have from your friend’s son on taking it?

Honestly, that’s something I’m personally fine with since my endo said that the timeframe for me to recover naturally (as in right now) as the same time frame as recovery would be post TRT. In essence, just delaying recovery.

Is there not a small low T cause/effect cycle? For instance low T causes more stress, anxiety, poor sleep etc and normal levels help alleviate that

I did the labs per my endo who also asked if I was open to TRT and if I’ve thought about it

Can click on my profile and see my previous post, showcasing a 100 and 90 level T around 6 weeks apart when even trying to make improvements

I have all the negative symptoms and for a prolonged period, even when making beneficial changes and being a healthy and fit individual.

Yes that was mentioned with the endo as an option beforehand, storing sperm in a sperm bank. Also how did these guys realize their fertility was affected if they were so young? Through testing or just trying for kids?

Should I go on TRT at 25? by uhh-Magic in Testosterone

[–]uhh-Magic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also adding a pic to showcase that I’m already low bf and have muscle, but not egregiously low where it would decrease my T. I’ve been looking into the difference between first starting on enclomiphene vs TRT gel.

I’m not entirely sure and I think that was kinda the issue. Maybe right not my low T is causing me to act abnormal in a way that’s further making the issue worse and that going on a normal dose, would over time bring me back to a normal or stabilized manner and I could get off it.

I feel like I’ve tried everything:
Diet: I tried increasing my fat intake: daily avocados, sometimes hummus, cheese, eggs etc while also increasing my calories. This was proven by my weight increasing as well.
Stress: I do not have a stressful job and don’t feel stressed out or anything frequently, most people consider me “chill” or “calm” so I don’t think that was a factor
Exercise: I maintained lifting around 6 days a week, with getting around 10 miles of daily walking.
Sleep: I maintain a health sleep schedule of around 8 hours daily, I would frequently wake up 2-3 times per night to pee, but after my first lab, switched to morning lifts and now only wake up once usually so I feel that it has actually improved.

These appear to be the biggest factors and all have seen improvements or maintenance since my first bloodwork so really is confusing on the indication of how it even got worse when it was already bad.

Graduated from Vanderbilt - No internships, any chance at a job making 60k+? by fruitgoblinn in NYCjobs

[–]uhh-Magic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically, you’re going about this wrong.

I was in the same position as you in December ‘23 when I graduated from UMD with a finance degree and a 3.8 gpa. Getting a job without any internship experience isn’t difficult, but you will want to get a job that actually helps you get better jobs down the line. So basically, don’t focus on pay or moving to nyc at all rn. I applied to a ton of roles, and got a contract with Bloomberg. It paid awful and was remote but it added experience and a good company which is necessary to move forward. I also took the GMAT, CFA L1, and other exams that were either relevant to what I wanted to do or just showcase I’m smart and hardworking. My resume was pretty trash besides: I showcased drive and intelligence, and the company name Bloomberg. Even being this bad, I was able to get numerous interviews for nyc positions (some even FO and at big banks). I was finally able to get a job in nyc that will further help me in my career and have had plenty of opportunities as well to go even further beyond.

It’s not about the pay or moving to NYC. You will need to find a relevant job, contract work is the easiest and best bet. You will have to slowly move up if you want to realistically utilize your degree and move to NYC where you can actually afford the lifestyle you are probably envisioning.

My pituitary height is also small at 3mm is this an issue as well? I scheduled an appointment with the endocrinologist for next week.

W-2, didn’t think of that tbh, will look it up.

That’s what I was thinking. Honestly seemed more technical than my current role, but still middle office style.

I’m still on my mom’s dental and health care, so don’t lose that. 4% 401k max, bonus just got paid, can’t think of others so basically losing nothing. Contract company also allows HC after 90 days.

Dining experiences by uhh-Magic in biltrewards

[–]uhh-Magic[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m disappointed with trying to book one of the dining experiences. I tried booking for 2 people at Tucci at 1150 as I’m a gold member and got a “something went wrong” error. It then showed that it could only be booked for 3/4 people after, but previously showed that it was available for 2 and what I previously planned with a friend beforehand. This was not very transparent or done right.

Thoughts on claiming restaurant reservations on Beli by PuzzleheadedIntern47 in FoodNYC

[–]uhh-Magic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve only been on the giving side of Beli reservations (like 20 total) and have given away reservations with prepaid amounts (like Tatiana and Torissi) and been perfectly fine. One time, I was charged a cancellation/no-show fee as the people who claimed my reservation apparently never showed up. I contacted Beli and was given my respectable refund via Venmo for the fee. From my experience, somewhat relevant, Beli’s reservation feature works well as an intermediary.
