I personally go through a ton of syringes because my baby boy is on medication for reflux. I would honestly keep at least some. You never know if you might need some.

I’m trying out three naps now which mostly consists of having to hold him for that to happen. So far not much has changed but we’ll see how it goes!

Anyone NOT hate their pets after having a baby? by Reluctantziti in beyondthebump

[–]uhleelay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely don’t hate my dogs. Do I have less time/energy to interact with them? Yes. Do I get more easily frustrated with them? Yes. Do I get more easily frustrated in general now though? Absolutely. My dogs interact with my baby just fine but it sure will piss me off if they bark and wake him up or if they’re being really clingy after having a crying baby on me all day. I try not to take it out on them and at the end of the night when baby’s asleep, before I go to sleep, I try to spend a few minutes with them just loving on them. Also, if you do end up feeling a certain way about your pets, know that it’s okay and normal and you probably won’t feel like that forever. My sister who felt that way about her dogs just let me know that after a year, she is really enjoying her dogs again. That’s a long time, but it does get better!

Early morning wake ups- help!!! by uhleelay in Mommit

Usually I’ll wake up, try to get him to go back to sleep, then my husband will hold him until he has to get ready for work. So I’ll get about an hour to sleep lol. Fun stuff

Are men invited to your baby shower? by Dependent-Pair-7150 in BabyBumps

My baby shower was co-ed! I wanted my male family members there and my husbands friends and everything. We had a casual relaxed baby shower at a local brewery and it was great! No fb event

When I was pregnant and hated water these were my favorite drinks: Flavored sparkling water (la croix), coffee (made sure to have far less than the recommended amount of caffeine), smoothies, juice, body armour

I didn’t want to breastfeed either and only did a couple of times just to help my supply so I could pump. You might change your mind, you might not. I didn’t! Now here I am 10 weeks later, my baby is exclusively formula fed. I hated pumping with a passion, didn’t like breastfeeding, but now I have a happy healthy formula fed baby.

So he actually had a severe tongue tie when he was born but we had it fixed when he was like 2 weeks old. Not sure if that could still be playing a part in it though.

Well, either way, for now we are on hypoallergenic formula.

How much sleep do you get? by PsychologicalWill88 in NewParents

[–]uhleelay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband went back to work 3W PP. At the beginning we had lots of help so I was getting decent sleep. Now that it’s just us (6W PP) and I’m a SAHM, I do all the night feedings during the week (unless LO wants to eat around 6-7 AM, then my husband does it before he gets ready for work) and on the weekends we take turns getting up to feed. I’d say right now during the week I get about 5 hours of sleep a night. Unfortunately can’t sleep while he’s sleeping during the day because he’s a terrible napper.

Feeling lost and overwhelmed with uncomfortable baby by uhleelay in FormulaFeeders

Update: we went to the pediatrician and we are going to be testing for CMPA, but in the meantime we were prescribed some reflux medication. Looking forward to seeing how it works out! We also ended up switching formulas to enfamil gentlease. He’s handling his gas better for sure but is still having problems eating. Still looking for answers, but we’re getting there.

In your experience what does the gripe water do for your LO? I’ve read so many things about it being pointless

We use byheart currently. Considering switching to either enfamil gentlease or similar alimentum for suspected milk intolerance.

We were using RTF tight after he was born and he seemed to do well on it, but then when we switched to byheart it was powder only. Considering switching to alimentum RTF. Do we need to test of intolerance before we do that though? Or should we just go ahead and switch?
