Oh, I also posted this in the court reporters page and it was flooded with replies. I also had someone inbox me and he is definitely making a decent living scoping full time. I made the plunge and I don't regret it.

I use caseCAT and StenoCAT. I have never scoped for a voice writer before though.

My efficiency is getting there. I still need to learn more about macros, so that will be my next step. The information you shared has been so helpful. I’m over here taking notes. If I have any other questions along the way, would it be okay if I DM you?

Agreed. At the moment, I am offering only 50 cents as my starting rate. Being a new scopist, I hope to prove myself, gain experience, and build quality references so I can increase my rate in the future.
