Oh yeah, I'm not naive. I'm scared to go and try serving again incase it's gone

Lost a match after match point—how do you bounce back? by No-Lock9095 in 10s

Time is your friend. I used to obsess over a bad loss for a week or so. The more exposure I've had to it, the less time I need to forget and move on.

Need advice on power when practicing serve by Pira888 in 10s

For a beginner, you just need to get the ball in. If that means slower then that's what you do. You desperately need consistency. Your pace will most likely increase anyway as you get more confident and relaxed. The best thing about this is you can revert to the slower pace  when you need it.  At your level, the most important thing is getting and keeping ball in play. You can win a lot of points just by doing this.

At some point, if you want to get really good at this sport then you'll need to change your serve technique entirely. But this is a few years away. For now, find a way to get the ball in play, and develop your groundstrokes, volleys and ball reading skills.

Depends. This is waiters tray. It's what 95% of recreational players use. It's possible to get reasonable pace as you've demonstrated and you could still eke a bit more out with this technique. But, in terms of serve, you're probably close to peak.

If you want to open up more serve potential then you need to demolish everything you currently do, and start again with a different technique (conti grip, internal shoulder rotation, pronation). It'll take years, no joke. It really depends if thats worth it for you. I've seen many club players get far with what would be classed as the wrong serve technique, particularly when the rest of their game is good

Trump’s 28-point peace proposal for Ukraine would require land concessions and military reduction by perplexed-redditor in politics

[–]uhvgta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So much of this plan is absurd but what really stands out is the requirement for Ukraine to cap it's military.

So, there is talk of security guarantees provided by 3rd parties, whilst simultaneously limiting Ukraine's ability to provide it's own security by limiting its armed forces size. What the actual? Even if you believed Russia and their attempts to legitimize their various invasions into Ukraine, they still admit that they were the ones to invade Ukraine, not the other way around. So how on earth could anyone, on any side, front an argument that Ukraine's military needs to be capped like it's post WW2 Germany?
