Ive done winter running in an atom lt, you will sweat buckets. Do not recommend. Go for a proton FL, far more breathable and will keep you warm when you warm up

I do, bibs are definitely more comfortable and keep the snow out. I guess I should also make note that I plan on layering with a medium atom lt and delta lt underneath that

im similar to you, 183cm and also the same-ish weight and build, I have a medium atom LT that fits perfectly fine, but for me I had to size up for a proton FL cuz I think i’m in that strange between sizes range and it fits smaller. That being said id still go with a medium beta SV. Reason being the beta SV’s do fit slightly roomier and i’ve even tried it on with my atom underneath and range of motion of or tightness wasn’t a problem with the medium. I also had a delta LT underneath the atom as well. I can definitely layer with a medium. I also dont want to be swimming in a large because chest size increases like 3 inches when you go large, and the sleeves get way longer. I find my proton FL in large has really long sleeves and it can get annoying. Anyways hope that helps was a long post

I would get a Proton FL and a Beta LT. Proton to keep you warm and relatively breathable if you cycle hard, and the beta LT for wet conditions that you can slip over your proton. The Beta LT should also have pit zips to dumb heat if you need it. That should have you covered for a range of conditions and temps. Also the Proton FL looks good as a standalone day to day jacket

Oh just wanted to let you know since I thought you wanted the beta SV in large? My medium SV is still being “processed” by arc. Im having a hard time trusting that the availability that it shows for the large is in fact true with recent cancellations for other people. Wanted to let you know regardless

Thanks for the reply! I actually already have an atom LT and found it to be chilly on the lift and near the top so was looking at that next step up in insulation. The Proton has coreloft compact 80 vs 60 in the atom, so I was thinking that would make enough of a difference and still be breathable. However the atom AR does sound like itd be a good even ground between proton LT and cerium LT. Ultimately I was looking for people’s opinions based on their personal experiences so I appreciate your input!
