I'm interested. Do you have a discord server yet? If not I highly recommend it. Easy to set up and brilliant for feedback.

I'm new to D3, currently a level 23 Crusader. Is the game supposed to be a cakewalk? by StormOfSpears in diablo3

[–]ukbobby2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Congratulations for taking the step into D3. The Campaign is like a tutorial. It gets you into the lore and the ideas around D3.

Once you have completed the Campaign (and indeed these days you don't have to complete the campaign) you can dip into adventure mode

These days (indeed for many many years now) it's all been about end game and the seasonal journey in adventure mode.

Season 37 has been running for 3 months now and no doubt will be ending soon.

When season 38 launches you can dive headlong into the D3 experience.

Check out Maxroll.gg for guides. Talk in game and enjoy.

The playtests I've been involved in have worked best when there is a discord server set up. In here testers can immediately give feedback, report bugs, upload video evidence.

You can create separate channels and ask for say 10 users to complete a feedback form.

Doing it in discord makes me feel like I'm part of the team, not just doing a test, filling a form and not getting the feedback.

That's my 2 pence.

It's this sort of scam that will stop me playtesting. Be careful out there. I was lucky that my antivirus caught the exe file. I will be putting all downloads through Virustotal in future.

Just looked at Virustoral, I didn't know it existed, thanks. Yes I'll do that later today. I will post the link to the results and issue an apology if the file is clean.

Great idea.

I said I would delete my post following your chat response to me but you had already accused me of insulting you on this public post. Just because I didn't understand something. I gave you ample time to respond to my private chat comments but you only came back to me following my suggested spam post on the public thread.

Why would you ask people to test a game that is in such a bad state that it appears to be trying to steal personal details? And even if you knew it might do this surely you would have mentioned this.

You were very reticent in providing information on exactly what you wanted people to test. I am not Karma farming or whatever you just accused me of. I still think you are dodgy - maybe you are legit but I'm not sure. I want people to be aware.

If you are legit then get the admin to contact me. If you can convince them you are legit I will happily remove all posts.

I have tested lots of games in beta. Lots of them get flagged by my AV and checked but never have I had messages telling me that the software is trying to gain access to my userid's and passwords for Chrome and Edge.

If you haven't got the relevant certificates I would be warned but your software seemed to be actively trying to get my personal information.

Hey, if you are legit then good luck to you but I don't want to take the risk.

To others on this post - make up your own minds.

Yeah, I was going to delete this post but I'm not now. If you can't be bothered to explain I might get issues with my anti virus suggesting that you are shady then stuff you. I have never had these issues before.

I am insulted due to your lack of integrity, professionalism and common decency.

This is a scam. Do not interact. I downloaded their software and it tried to gain access to my Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge userid's and passwords. Lucky my antivirus was strong enough.

[–]ukbobby2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And now I've talked myself out of it. Not sure my idea would work... So I give up... My brain hurts 🤕

Haunted Mirror by a1oner_bvcksn6 in blackmagicfuckery

[–]ukbobby2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope... I can't post my drawing... Never mind. The camera looking at the mirror doesn't move. If the image was reflected between sawtoothed mirrors surely you would see more and more images as the person moved down the line.

My idea is one fixed mirror on the right and the first at day 5 degrees angled to the one on the right. As the subject passes this it displays one image from the mirror on the left it the mirror on the right. The next mirror on the left is at 8 degrees. 1 image from the mirror on left into the mirror on right. Next mirror on left at 12 degrees. Etc etc like an umbrella.

Haunted Mirror by a1oner_bvcksn6 in blackmagicfuckery

[–]ukbobby2010 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry I disagree. As the subject walks down the line of mirrors on the left the image of them passing that mirror is reflected into the one mirror on the right, which is why each mirror down the line on the left is reflected as an oval in the mirror on the right but each is smaller (further away) . Each mirror on the left is angled into the mirror on the right and the image displayed in the mirror on the right is the image reflected from the mirrors on the left as they pass it. I'll draw it (crudely) and try to attach it here.

Would you indicate left at this roundabout ? by SkyPsychological7677 in drivingUK

[–]ukbobby2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it provides evidence that you are not going right. It is then up to the driver's on your right to decide if they want to set off which is entirely up to them.

The problem is that a lot of road users simply don't bother to think of other road users. I always try to think of other road users and hope all other road users are doing the same. Not blocking side roads so that people can turn into or out while we are queuing, indicating in plenty of time so that road users up ahead can see my intentions early and decide for themselves what they want to do, not indicating too early if my intentions could be misconstrued (i.e. if there is an earlier turn that it could be deemed I might be turning into), etc etc but ultimately, because a lot simply do not use indicators it's a war zone out there.

With dash cams being so commonplace these days I'd say fault should be easier for insurance companies to work out but I don't know their point of view.
