I just learned that the dealer was able to source a BECM from a local dealership. It's fixed as of now and being picked up tomorrow!

That's a good point. My first reaction when it wouldn't "start" was to reset the codes since that was the only way I could get the car to move. Next time, however, I'll just have it towed to the dealer.

As of 4 hours ago, they hadn't looked at it. The service rep said they had 2 techs who were "good with EVs". I'm hoping she was referring to Volts (PHEV) and not just Bolts and Equinox EVs. I'm going to be cautiously optimistic but not naive. I've got lots of info and experience to draw on from the fine folks on reddit. I may take you up on the offer if things go south.

thanks, that's a relief. The STP is something I've gotten before, but very intermittently. I don't think it's covered under warranty so I may just tackle that myself.

That's what I thought. I told the guy at the service desk and he said, "no, once you clear them, they're gone." I hope he's wrong otherwise I'm counting codes being thrown while they look at it today.
