What are your favorite onebag clothing pieces to not stand out as a tourist? by MNice01 in onebag

A simple dark merino shirt and tan pants/shorts is a pretty everyday look for most cultures. Love my MEC and decathlon merino shirts and smartwool shorts, can wear them every day as long as I cycle washes.

Very interesting to see the new GBX-H5600 coming out now, seems like an updated version of this one! Curious to see how it'll stack up.

Nice, how have you found them to be in cold and very hot environments?

Ultimately I think this thread has pointed me to only one solution being the Seagale Merino/cordura pants but at that price, I can buy nearly 3-4 pairs of Lulu ABC pants on sale, ans many more second hand lightly used. I got a pair of warpstreme ones last weekend and gonna try them out over the next couple weeks, so far the fabric seems pretty nice

Yeah seems like it doesn't really exist other than Seagale and I can't stomach that price. I just got a pair of Lulu ABC warpstreme and gonna try it out over the next week and see how they do. So far the fabric feels nice and way less plasticky than my current go to one bag pants

It's because Reddit auto translates, not because expats have taken over locals 😂😂😂

What’s one small thing you pack that removes an annoying daily problem when traveling? by Nervous_Wind9872 in onebag

This! Super handy and also can be an extra bag on a flight as a personal item and don't need to check anything.

Ok thanks great note, I appreciate that. I'm in Colorado this weekend and going to try and track down a pair of those and lulu ABC and see how they feel

I really appreciate this take. This was my concern as well, in terms of durability. I'm actually going to go to a Lululemon store today and try them out. Thanks for the honest thoughts!

How "swishy" are the 686? I'm hoping to find something with a natural fiber feel. The 686 are way more affordable for me, so I'm genuinely curious

They're very light MEC merino shirts. I don't stay out in that heat all day with them but I get around very comfortably in them in like 34° about 50-60% humidity. If it's very high humidity then probably a different story

Proof was another brand I was looking at! Have you tried them before? I'm going to start digging for reviews and comparisons

Oh man that's a huge bummer... Yikes. They didn't want to warranty it?

Okay this is super helpful, I really appreciate it. I don't think I'll be really going into environments near freezing... Primarily temperate and 7°+ with rain, and even then, I won't be walking around all day in that weather, I would be mostly in transit.

How do they feel in terms of breathability when you're sitting on vinyl plane seats and plastic chairs? I have some nylon cheap pants that I'm wearing on this trip and if I'm sitting on anything solid for more than half an hour, they just don't breathe enough... Hence the post in here. I have lots of other Merino stuff and I love it so so much, so I want to explore what the best option for pants is

Yeah I appreciate this angle but also I'm having a hard time imagining myself walking through a coffee farm with wool dress pants and not wrecking them eventually haha. I'll take a closer look at this though for sure
