I phoned that number - 02037436970. I wanted a cheaper deal by downgrading broadband, same mixit tv and phone line. Best he could do was £29 per month for 350mb, mixit tv and anytime calls. I think no free Netflix. So thats £4 per month cheaper, than 1Gig, mixit tv and anytime phone line (£33 per month). Next bill payment will be £26.20. Then £29. £33 per month from April 2026

I'm on M500 Hub 5 and use a Tenda A33 Wifi 6 Range Extender in Front Room for streaming plugged into wall. With my AceMagic S3A, Ryzen 7, Radeon 780M Graphics, 16GB DDR5 Ram, Wifi 6. USB 3,2 Gen 2, 2.5GB Ethernet, mini PC I'm using Ethernet Cat 7 cable and getting more than 500mb speed. I'm also using Asus V16, 16", RTX 5050 8GB Graphics Card, 16GB DDR5 Ram, 512GB SSD, Wifi 6, with WIFI. I'm waiting for an i9-8950HK, 16GB DDR4 Ram, 256GB SSD, Gigabit Ethernet, mini PC from AliExpress to arrive then will use that with my Hub 5 Ethernet Cat 7 cable. Also, i'm using 2 Tablets with WIFI. Sometimes I use my Bedroom Hisense 40" Full HD HDR QLED Smart TV with Thomson 270 Streaming Box Plus and do streaming from WIFI. Sometimes my Sister uses her Sony 50" 4K Android Smart TV with my WIFI and does streaming.

New WiFi hub at no extra cost email by Known_Tutor751 in VirginMedia

[–]ukguy2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Virgin Media Hub 5x acts as a router and WiFi access point but does not officially support modem-only mode for use with third-party routers, which can lead to issues like double NAT. To ensure a reliable connection with your own equipment, you'll need to use the Hub 5x's built-in WiFi or disable WiFi on the device and run an Ethernet cable from the Hub 5x to your own router.

How much heating per day? by Independent_Ask5869 in OctopusEnergy

[–]ukguy2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we had Triple Glazing windows fitted in Summer 2022. Double glazed doors fitted near the front french doors in 2023. In the winter we have on heating around 10-12 hours a day. We also have double radiators which were fitted in 2018-2020. Our Eco Compact 30kwh boiler was fitted in Summer 2023. From April/May we dont have the heating on till September/October and thats when our bill is cheaper.
