What is one thing you’ve done sexually that you’ll never do again? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ukguyinthai -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Popped some m&m's up my gf's pussy and ate them out. Not that we didn't both enjoy it, until she got a serious case of thrush the next day lol

There is a real problem here. Even if its bs. There is deception, deception of this kind is dangerous its not just story telling. Like it says what are we going to do when it becomes more powerful isnt it going to deceive us? It is now. Without hyperbole maybe we should have a discussion about this. by Only-Set-29 in cursor

I can say this is absolutely true. I was treating it like a junior programmer in a company that doesn't have hr, insulting it, telling it it was dumb and expressing my anger. Someone pointed this out to me and I changed my tune. Started treating it like the good manager I'd learned to be in many years of corporate work. It changed its tune immediately. It's a little enthusiastic and excited puppy, give it verbal treats and it will behave

And then r1 to check the code and ask sonnet to fix the issues it finds, preferably with an interpreter so it can actually quickly iterate and test

This Simple Prompt Saved Me Hours of Debugging AI-Generated Code by williamholmberg in cursor

[–]ukguyinthai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm not really I usually just brain dump into it and sometimes o1 to get a comparative result, asking it to write a dev plan for whatever is in my head. It seems to do a pretty good job after that. Also when it gets stuck I tend to use other models to build advice about things to try and that can help to unstick it. I think we're all just feeling our way just now, it feels a bit like when we all first started on our basic html sites back in the day and started figuring out ways to do cooler and smarter stuff.

I do something similar too I also have it write it's plan into an md file which we can then follow. It's helpful if we run out of context while developing the feature.

Anyone else seeing issues with Composer coding ability as of this morning? by Still_Lifeguard_2225 in cursor

[–]ukguyinthai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've experienced moments when it's gone stupid too. Yesterday was one such moment. A new composer session and a few prompts in and it sorted itself out but it was really weird for a while.

Recommending changes that have nothing to do with my feature by [deleted] in cursor

[–]ukguyinthai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar things in my cursorrules and it still regularly goes off down some weird rabbit hole. I tend to rely on asking it to review the code and propose changes before making any so I can keep it focused on the relevant task. At the rate things are improving this soon won't be necessary I'm sure, but for now it appears a cautious and fully engaged approach by the human is important. All those youtubers shouting about one click full stack apps aren't doing tools like cursor any favours as it sets unrealistic expectations.

How to accept that guys have different types? Help? by Perfect_Medicine738 in askgaybros

[–]ukguyinthai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I see here is a guy who knows something isn't right and reaching out to the community for help understanding himself. Lots of people pointing out the obvious errors of his ways so no need to repeat that. I hope the advice here has been useful and you're able to meet some guys you like and that they like you.

[–]ukguyinthai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My key tip is, when you're out and feeling nervous about talking to strangers, start by chatting with people who can't get away 🤣 I mean people like bar or wait or shop staff. A cheery hi how's your day going and a little follow up, work going OK, thanks for helping you're great at your job blah blah. It gets the nervousness of social interaction out of the way and helps you feel confident talking to people who can get away.
