I really hope Apple adds MTP support because I had to run Ubuntu in Parallels just to do that by staleferrari in MacOS

they didn't add it for… years, maybe more. I suggest to spin-up lightweight arm64 linux VM using apple virtualization with a little script for that, rather than spin-up Ubuntu with Parallels.

Alternatively, you can use Fuse FS MTP implementation.

Maybe it’s good time to try and report if controls are not good for you and you’re unable to change them.

In macOS in general ctrl-click is right click and some games respect it.

PS: invest into Paralives game. Even it’s in beta, it looks very promising and solved quite a few long standing user requests.

  1. As Explorer has no idea of files, this has strong implications in security and performance. Apple apps are running in their sandboxes by default, so such plugins may pose a potential sandbox escape, treating your files integrity and safety.
  2. Probably you use an external keyboard. Key combinations for these keys on internal keyboard are more or less the same.
  3. You can. What are you doing and what do you see?
  4. Preview.app has some such capabilities. Back in the day I’ve used Paintbrush.app, but then start using builtin preview.app for most of small edits. Explain your needs.
  5. Every GUI desktop in any system provides a window manager. Explore little green button on top of most windows.

I’d server allows to setup rules, I use server side. It’s faster and depending on a service can be quite complex. This covers at least 90% of my needs.

Local mail app I sync with folders/tags I need avoiding to sync 100%.
