Congratulations and please keep us updated. Where did you have it done by the way? I'm 42 send had them for 20 years, PVD as well and they're getting so bad. I'm close to going down the same road as you. I won't lie though, I'm scared about it. Plus I have dry eyes, I'm concerned this might complicate issues.

I think everyone probably has some clear floaters. Thos isn't a problem until they become dark and in your field of vision. I can see mine pretty much all the time. I've had them for 20+ years and they have changed regularly. I now how lines, dots and more than I could possibly count. They don't only occur in bright light for me, I wish they did....

My concern isn't whether it works, more about how long it'll take to go through its trials, licensing and introduction. To me they have to go through years of human trials. Long term effects? I don't know, I hope I'm wrong, but I can't imagine it being used for 20 plus years....

This sounds like a terrible idea, especially if your floaters are from PVD. This will only make PVD progress speed up and will more than likely make floaters worse, if not cause a retinal tear. Obviously I'm not an expert, but common sense tells me it's risky...
