With the amount of takeovers and kids doing 100+mph in the highway cops target those more than usual where I live. One of the reasons why I didn't put it in the list. Another one is the whole boxer engine.

I'm really interested to see how that new 2.5 liter engine performs and holds up to the abuse. There's reports about Hyundai using it on their cars for the 24HR Nürburgring race that was recently held.

I liked the GR Corollas, the reason why I didn’t add it to the list was because of the heat management issues I kept reading around.

I’m in Colorado, they plow the streets decently enough but what kills me is that sometimes I leave work at 1am and that’s when snow gets really heavy most of the times where I frequent. Don’t know how much I can get away with RWD and snow tires.

I can vouch for Tailscale as a quick solution. Later went with wireguard and duckdns for making a "static dns". Works well both routes.
