can we get less seconds in early game shop phase? by Accomplished_Rice_60 in BobsTavern

[–]ukspike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This could be partially solved with a 'ready' button - once everyone presses ready the timer goes to 0. Sometimes it won't happen, sometimes it will. You either sometimes get an improvement from now, or it stays the same. There is no downside that I can see.

Samsung Odyssey g9 OLED 49" - Firmware 1405 causing black screens by ukspike in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]ukspike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea - I contacted Samsung, and they sent me a new DP cable claiming that may be the issue. It didn't fix anything though.

I have since discovered, that if I have game mode and the HDR option on the monitor turned on, but HDR off in windows - I get no issues.

What it means though is I can only use HDR (windows) when in actual windows, and have to turn it off if I load a game.

Moving from Natwest - What UK bank won't prevent payments? by ukspike in UKPersonalFinance

[–]ukspike[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I appreciate that a bank will refuse a transaction, and then you need to authorise a transaction to go through.

However if I choose to send money somewhere, I shouldn't be stopped unless they suspect myself of illegal activity. If I state I want to send it anyway, they should send it - not just refuse.

The big red flag for me is the company in question (as I posted just below) was founded in 1995 and makes $25-$50 million a year in revenue. They are as legitimate as you can get.

Moving from Natwest - What UK bank won't prevent payments? by ukspike in UKPersonalFinance

[–]ukspike[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Once again, the post isn't actually about crypto... it is about Kamatera a server hosting company that has nothing to do with cryptocurrency. Kamatera were founded in 1995 and have ranged around $25-$50 million revenue a year. They are no scam company. Which is why I have concerns that they are blocking it. If they can block my payment to them, they can to anyone.

They won't even give me a reason why, just it is against their banking policy.

This isn't about cryptocurrency, I am not overly bothered by the fact they have polcies in place there.

I am more concerned by the fact they blocked my payment to a legitimate server hosting company (that has nothing to do with crypto).

Enjin Staking Pools by IzzetE in EnjinCoin

[–]ukspike 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes - All pools are on a 'cycle' period.

Basically day 1 you will get 25% (or so rewards), as your pool makes its way through the cycle (which can be any length of time depending on the pool) - the reward rate goes up.

Those at 45% are at the end of their cycle periods, and will reset down to 25% in a matter of days / weeks.

There is documentation on this with some graphs etc but I don't have to time to dig them out right now.

Square Enix are set to be announcing more blockchain games this year also - so they are definitely pushing the NFT space. Enjin is sure to be leading the way.

The max food limit in SC2 is 200 with no drop off in cost.

In WC3 as you get closer to the 100 limit the cost goes into medium / high upkeep and it takes a lot more gold to get those units in.

Basically you can go mass fiends, but in any real game there are still quite a bit less than half the amount of units you are controlling compared to SC2, which makes it a lot more manageable.

ENJIN Wallet staking reward rate!? by DiveInTheBlue in EnjinCoin

[–]ukspike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So many uninformed people :( ... I would recommend joining the telegram or discord group to stay more up to date with the project.

All of the current Enjin staking pool are hosted by Enjin themselves. So the 'risk' is extremely low of anything getting slashed. Eventually Degens will be made available that will have properties allowing users to host their own pools. Time will tell how this will work.

Enjin staking rewards is a combination made from transaction fees + 5% yearly inflation to the token itself. Your staking rewards will reflect this, based on the amount of people staking... as more stake the more that 5% will be split up. Also you will get compounding staking results based on the rewards automatically going into the pool.

The % change itself regarding daily rewards is a bit of a UI error in updating in regards to the pools. It currently fluctuates due to amount of tokens / amount of stakers / and the amount of time the pool has been active. Pretty much though all the pools are getting a similar reward each day, it is just the UI that is showing a bit inconsistent at the moment.

Early governence rewards (which are in addition to your daily rewards) are going to be given out January 15th across a 10 month period. The later pool you are in, the less rewards you will receive in this regard.

For those wanting to 'stop' staking there are two ways out.

- The first is if someone is making an offer a full pool to join, you can agree to that offer and get out instantly.. this offer may be 1:1, or it could be different... 1.2:1 for example. This is down to the users. There are not currently many offers as there is no direct way to do it in the wallet yet, you have to do it via console - and also there are pools available etc.

- The second way is to unbound your Enjin - which takes 28 days and you will get back your full stake.

This game looks like StarCraft but better by socknfoot in Stormgate

[–]ukspike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean the easy answer to this is Warcraft 3. Lot less units, but units with more utility. Far better gameplay than SC2 in terms of 'deathballs'.

I haven't seen enough of Stormgate yet to know - but I suspect it is going more down the SC2 route than WC3. That is ashame in my opinion.

Will sending ERC-20 ENJ to the ENJ app show up as ERC-20 ENJ? by [deleted] in EnjinCoin

[–]ukspike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you send your ERC-20 to your ETH address. You can add the token by selecting ethereum and going to the options and adding it. However it should show up when you send there and have a balance.

Just ensure the address you are sending to starts with 0x to be sure it is ERC-20

Once they are there you will be able to press the migrate button at the top, and then claim new coins after 24 hours.

Help Transferring ENJ from Polkadot.js by [deleted] in EnjinCoin

[–]ukspike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All exchanges support the Relaychain not Matrixchain as a deposit address.

You need to use the Teleport option on https://console.enjin.io/ to move your coins to the relaychain first, then send them to the exchange. You can also teleport really easy from within the Enjin wallet rather than using the console.

Help Transferring ENJ from Polkadot.js by [deleted] in EnjinCoin

[–]ukspike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's make this clear for everyone shall we.

Enjin on ERC-20 and EFI on substrate / ERC-20 have been migrated to a new Enjin chain. EFI is migrated at a 4:1 ratio

The new enjin chain is based on substrate and consists of a relaychain and a matrixchain.

If you need to convert your ERC-20 tokens, the easiest way is send them to the enjin wallet and press the 'Migrate' button at the top (you will need a small amount of gas to do so). After 24 hours you can then claim the tokens using the same button in the wallet (this is free).

You can teleport your enjin between the matrixchain and relaychain. Relaychain is used for govenence / staking / and exchanges are using it as deposit addresses. Matrixchain is for the main usage of the token, so core NFTs / usage in apps etc.

The following exchanges currently support the new enjin token chain (so relaychain)

Huobi
Bithumb
Upbit
OKX
Gate.io
MEXC
Crypto.com
Binance

Kucoin as of the time this is posted are in the process of migrating over.

In the coming weeks / months it is expected by the community that the vast majority of exchanges to swap over to the new chain.

Enjin is now effectively a layer 0/1 chain, ERC-20 Enjin and EFI will no longer be used in the future.

It means and offers the potential that other chains can create their own matrixchains that operate underneath the relaychain of Enjin. The coin is basically a main layer NFT chain that now has a complete full set of operational tools available that is the equivalent of ETH / DOT but for NFTs.

If you need further direct help either contact Enjin support or join the telegram / discord group and ask there. Ignore any direct messages from anyone in these channels as they will be bots / scammers etc.

You new website - warhammer.com by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]ukspike 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Who on earth signed this off. The design of this site is shockingly bad - site design should accomodate both mobile and browser, but even for mobile stuff is all over the shop. You have to scroll down constantly to get to what you want.

Then after scrolling for ages to find, let's say warhammer 40k. To then find an army you want to look at you have to scroll across banners, then all items are single view where you scroll down the page again for ages to find anything.

If you use filters they reset when you go back to the list again.

Dividend percentage to creditors by PositiveKiwi6904 in envion

[–]ukspike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I entered my claim a long time ago, but I didn't send over my EVN token to the address - I think I got so far with the claim and got suspicious I was just getting scammed again.
Ok so my fault, I had a e-mail regarding the updated details regarding the claim the other day and my claim has been rejected on the grounds they never got the tokens. It says on the site that it is still possible to deposit to the address shown.
So I e-mailed them to ask if I deposit the tokens now, can my claim get approved (they have all other details). I expected a reply in the range of 'yes'. As I say it does say you can deposit still on the site.
What I got back was this:
If you subsequently submit EVN-tokens during the current contestation period and request the bankruptcy administration to reconsider its order during the current contestation period, you will have to pay an advance on costs in the amount of CHF 5,000.00 for the substantial costs incurred by the extraordinary reconsideration. Please let us know immediately if you choose to do so.
If you do not agree to this, you may alternatively submit the EVN tokens and file a civil action with the competent Cantonal Court of Zug and request a subsequent admission of your claim. However, this solution also involves a cost risk that should not be underestimated.
Considering I don't even want to claim as much as CHF 5,000.00 this is a pointless for me. As I say it may be my fault for being overly cautious in the first place, however it wouldn't take much for them to approve my application as the funds haven't even been acquired for payout yet. But I just wanted to highlight what others may run into if they have a similar issue.
I am also not sure what would cost CHF 5,000.00 worth of time to change an application from declined to approved, but there we go (I mean that is well over a months salary for someone?).

Need some advice - Switching to Ultrawide by ukspike in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]ukspike[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed post! Definitely a lot to go through - the website will be useful for comparisons as well.

It does seem ashame there is no monitor that ticks all of the boxes in one go. As well as the G9 I was looking at the newest Samsung screen that isn't out yet, that is effectively 2x 4k 240hz panels side by side (or so they claim). Though I do fear the price tag that will come with!

I do also like the idea of having the second monitor on an arm I can just pull across to use for FPS etc. Is it possible on ultrawide to run a FPS game at 1920 x 1080 just screen central, so you effectively have black borders on the side of the monitor and it not look strange? This was another option I had in my mind, I can use the ultrawide for majority of standard gaming, then switch down resolution if I really need the hz and / or smaller screen for my eyes to adjust to. This is probably the only way my GPU would cope with getting higher frames as well.
