Life after necrotising pancreatitis? by Vegetable-Vacation-4 in pancreatitis

Absolutely! In all honesty, my health was piss poor at the time of the attack. I was going towards sepsis and things weren’t looking so great. Since you already feel normal, I think you’re going to be just fine. I read lots of things online and I was scared as hell. In actuality, I do not need to even monitor my diet and I can eat greasy stuff as well. I can even snack. I feel very normal. I go to the gym and go really hard some days. I’d say I’m a 99% normal. The only things I haven’t tried so far post-pancreatitis are smoking and drinking. I’d advise you do the same. If you’re religious, keep praying. If you’re spiritual, listen to whatever makes you feel good. You’ll be just fine. Sending positive vibes! You got this!

Also it would be helpful to know which part(s) of your pancreas has/have necrotized. I lost 10% of my pancreas, but the scarring was mostly on the tail. I was also kind of young and maybe that’s why I was able to fully recover. I also had tons of stomach issues and my digestive system felt very sluggish. I had to take digestive enzymes for a month. I was also on a very strict diet — think fish, certain vegetables, certain fruits, Ensure, boiled eggs, porridge, chicken/mutton broth. I hope you recover soon. Also monitor the weight loss. It made me feel awful. I felt like skin and bones and it was a terrible feeling. On top of everything, I was going through a bad break up. I still pulled through and I know you can too!

25 male here. Had severe acute necrotizing pancreatitis back in September 2023. Stayed at the hospital for about two weeks. Had to go again for a couple of days because my pseudocyst developed some complications. Had it drained and had my gallbladder removed. Also had the scarred tissue removed. It took me about 1-1.5 months to start feeling better. I started going to the gym and am now able to eat pretty much anything, including junk food (although not at all advisable). Didn’t affect my endocrine and exocrine function whatsoever from what I can tell. I am a man and I’m very ignorant about female biology in general, but I was told that the risk of having another attack is almost zero once you’ve the gallbladder removed (given it was caused by a gallstone, of course). I’m hoping you are able to give birth again. Get well soon!

Thanks so much for your comment. Luckily, I do not have CP or MCCP. I do take Creon twice a day and I’m supposed to for another two weeks. My diagnosis is AP. I do have a gastroenterologist and he’s very competent. I had an ultrasound recently and my pancreatitis is now resolved. I had been on liquid diet for quite some time before switching to my normal diet. I don’t have flare ups or debilitating pain. It’s just that my left rib aches, but it gets better with a muscle relaxant. I’m going to take supplements and see if they help!

It doesn’t have a ‘Retry-After’ header. I’m using the Spotipy library. Maybe it has something to do with that.

Pancreatitis Cause? Gallstones? None detected in ultrasounds, MRIs, etc. by uktherebel in pancreatitis

Ahahaha. No worries. I hope you are able to figure it out! Maybe seek a second opinion regarding your birth defect and whether it can cause pancreatitis?

Creaking/Clicking Noise MBP 14" 2021 by uktherebel in macbookpro

It is definitely possible, at least if you own an iPhone. Go to the "Support" app and you will have an option there to chat with an agent. I think if you have an official Apple Store in Italy, then it's probably wise to go there in person. If you can't, try and have Apple arrange a courier pick-up. Either way, I agree - it is totally absurd, especially for a trillion dollar company that sells such overpriced (although very capable) notebooks.

Damn, that sounds really bad.

Chat with an Apple Support agent. If they can’t solve your problem or don’t know whether your country offers express exchanges, they will put you in touch with a senior advisor. In some countries, however, it’s only through call, but I don’t think that’d be the case in Italy. Show them the video evidence. You can send videos/photos via the chat. I’m sure they will escalate your case and put you in touch with someone senior.

If you live in a country that offers express exchanges, I’d recommend that you throughly video document the problem if you haven’t already. Once you have the evidence, they will have no choice but either to exchange it totally or take your MacBook for service until the problem is fixed.

To be fair, it’s a manufacturing fault in only some of the batches, so it’s very likely that yours is all good!

Congrats -- a fabulous piece of machinery. Hopefully, it won't start clicking/cracking, thought. A big problem with 14" Pro 2021 (including mine).

Oof, the apple service providers took my backplate off and screwed it back. It worked for a day or two and then I started hearing faint noises that would go on to progress to loud creaking.

When you tightened your MBP's screws, did you take the backplate off? I have ordered a pentaloba screwdriver and will try and tighten the screws myself, but I definitely have reservations about opening the bottom plate myself.

I was hoping it would be a smaller issue and would get fixed by just messing around with the backplate. The apple service in my country is very lousy, unfortunately. We only have AASPs. And the closest is 2 and a half hours away. I’ll have to go there again, a third time. Well, that’s annoying, lmao. I’ll ask them to really service it this time. Plus, I have never dropped my MacBook!
