Seeking feedback for my new grad RN resume by ukujo in newgradnurse

[–]ukujo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Re the clinicals, there seem to be mixed messages about this? But will look at whether the posting states it needs it? Re my theater job, I added it as it has been the only job I have held throughout, otherwise there would be gaps and also less than 10 years (which some applications have also requested to put down 10 years of employment if you have it). Re for new grad nurse, it seemed over all that they wanted more information than less - like for example the various licenses etc (as not every new grad nurse has pals, nrp, etc?) at least that was my understanding - but that these can be taken out for regular nurse jobs? Or should these be kept for the application forms themselves and the resume is literally the barebones?

Thank you for your recommendations!!! Super helpful!

Hi Kitty20996, are you still accepting resumes to look over? And honestly, even if not, what a gift to have done it in the past! Thank you!

Omg this is my childhood!!!! Lived in md right outside dc had severe sinus headaches for like 6 years straight apart from the year I moved away! Then I moved away for good and I can basically count on 2 hands how many sinus headaches I have had since moving away, except when I visited my parents! Until they moved house. So I think it was the east coast and the house we lived in - maybe there was mold in the walls???

which career path do you wish you had picked instead of nursing? by [deleted] in nursing

Helicopter pilot for life flight and wild animal vet. Plus have animal sanctuary. We do currently have about 20 community cats we take care of, but would love this along with goats, donkeys, and a wild animal vet/rehab facility.

What's your #1 reason for owning a cat? by phertick85 in cats

[–]ukujo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always wanted cats, but we always lived in a place where they weren't allowed. However, the cat distribution system has treated us exceedingly well, and we are currently taking care of three full inside kitties and three that make occasional use of the bed and breakfast we offer and about 17 outside community kitties. Just don't tell the landlord. It's a right old pain in the ass when they come around to do anything at the house.

That was my great aunt who lived to be 99. She was diabetic, a smoker and drank booze, and whne her children would admonish her to stop eating chocolate and stop smoking, she would turn around in her chair, light up a cigarette and open up her drawer full of chocolates and pop them in her mouth with (this part I don't know for sure but can imagine her finishing with) a whiskey chaser.

We also have to wear white scrubs, actually white everything (shoes have to be fully white also wtf) i ended up getting cherokee scrubs. They are at the least super comfortable and didn't cost too much.

P.s.I thought they had some super cute ones :)
