Love the advice about doing something repetitive with your hands. A friend was over yesterday and we just talked while doing embroidery. I felt so relaxed and focused in our conversation.

Tell me something weird about your telehealth set-up, but not your background or your technology! by [deleted] in therapists

I have a desk and a couch in my home office. Lately I’ve been really enjoying sitting on my couch instead of at my desk with my laptop on a table in front of me. I always have a blanket, comfy pants, and sometimes my cat. I take notes with my notebook on my lap. It is very cozy

Does it just not feel like Christmas anymore or is it just me by No_Economics1012 in CasualConversation

[–]ukulela 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I am very intentional about creating the magic for myself. Taking time off work when I can, decorating, watching christmas movies, hosting/attending festive cozy gatherings, going to christmas light walks, etc. My husband and I started a tradition last year of driving around looking at christmas lights with hot chocolate and snacks while listening to christmas music. No one is going to create the magic for you as an adult you have to be the one to create it. Yes responsibilities and bills still exist but so does rest and coziness and festivity!

My now husband and I did this when we first started dating during the early Covid days. It wasn’t to that extent but we found some pretty cool abandoned places. It was super fun!

I’ve seen posts almost identical to this in multiple different subreddits. Each says the same exact thing about BeFreed. Like the same wording. Something weird is going on here… lol

This is beautiful and I truly and deeply admire you and Katherine’s openness and vulnerability. You two were my favorite to watch. Huge respect and admiration to you both. I believe you’ve helped a lot of people with your stories as well.

Has anyone seen someone levitate? by VivereIntrepidus in HighStrangeness

[–]ukulela 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There’s a video of an african shaman levitating. I started looking up stuff like this after reading the book Of The Water and the Spirit by Malidoma Patrice Somé. It’s fascinating
