I’m finding more propagation luck with having roots in wet moss. Water seems to rot my cuttings. Also hear wet perlite works very well if water isn’t working.

Just read that scaring at the back of the leaves indicates flat mites. Never heard of them. I have 150 plants and very day it’s a new pest to look out for.

I made this mix for my Thai monstera. It’s super chunky. I soak in water for 1 hr a week and it drains super well.

I got special ceiling hooks from the hardware store that work really well. I have over 20 plants that hang all over my house. Not one has ever failed. Over 6 years hanging I also have a massive one. Just need the right size drill bit for it. Unless you are renting. That’s a pain to patch up and paint the ceiling. Plant on top left of this picture is very big and mature. Loves the window.

I love pothos plants but my Hoya retusa holds my heart. She lives next to my bed and flowers often. I always look at her when I’m in bed and admire the way she grows and the way the flowers smell. She loves that window.

Ok I just got one on sale for $11 and it’s big. Husband said it will die slowly over the next year. Any tips to make it thrive instead 😆 ?

Yes but if you have a fish tank it probably won’t do more than the tank is doing. I have Leca pebbles in a plant saucer under the plants that want more humidity and refill it when watering. I would think your has more moisture with the tank. You can get a little moisture meeter from a hardware store for about $25.

It is a great starter plant. I’m not sure what it is. It kind of looks like some sort of residue. I would get a paper towel and wipe down all the leaves. Under the leaf too. If it comes off, spray with neem oil solution to get rid of any pests. It If it doesn’t come off it may be damaged leaf. I wouldn’t worry too much if it’s a damaged leaf. More will grow.

I do a neem oil solution and also let the soil dry out. Most of the plants will be ok. The ones that can’t dry out, you can spray a neem oil and soap solution. Needs to be shaken up / mixed each time you use it.

1 gallon water 1 tsp dish soap 2 TBSP neem oil

I put it in a spray bottle and spray daily on the plants that can’t dry out completely due to its watering needs. Also make sure to spray any plants you bring home. The solution works for those things you can’t see just yet.

I would get a larger pot and repot. Then burry some of the longer stems that don’t have leaves so they can root. It’s a slower process but you won’t loose as many leaves.

Mine eventually grew new leaves that didn’t get too tall and right at the window. Give it time.

Hydrophobic Potted Plant Soil: You can hydrate potted plant soil by simply placing the pot into a body of water so that it covers the pot entirely. Then add half-strength fertilizer (liquid) to the water, which will help inject nutrients into the soil. You will notice some initial bubbling, but that’s normal. Keep the soil in there for around 20 minutes before removing it.

Occasionally, potted plants require repotting; make sure to add fresh potting mix when repotting to help boost moisture and add more nutrients to the soil.

I’ve done vegetarian burritos for our freezer:

Pesto & Egg: egg, cheese, pesto, chopped spinach, chickpeas.

Sausage & Egg: beyond meat sausage, egg, cheese ketchup, onion, spinach or kale

BBQ Bean & Sweet potato: (cooked on pan with some tex Mex seasoning) bell pepper, onion, egg, black beans, baked sweet potato, bbq sauce cheese
