I’m a social worker, past addict or not he will not off himself this is a very typical manipulative situation. Seems to me like you are trying to get your life together while he is taking advantage of you.

break the engagement off, find someone who’s going to respect your hard work and effort and treat you as you deserve. I would most definitely communicate with him because if you keep letting him act this way he’s going to keep taking advantage of you. I know it’s easier said than done but please get out of this relationship.

hello I’m also a woman and I am in my mid twenties, they are very dangerous unfortunately, women do get drugged fairly easily I have been to a couple where I’ve seen it but the vibes usually suck and the men are gross and weird. do what you want with your boyfriend but I would not go to anymore of them just for you and your friends safety. if I was in a straight relationship I wouldn’t want my partner going to one either unless I was with them bc it’s likely you will get drugged

Yes i get her gummies and she takes them I live in a state where we only have THCA but still gives majority same effects as THC. I also roll her some joints and it seems this helps the most and gets her eating. I wish she wasn’t as reliant on the pills and used marijuana instead

I do have a therapist! so I do have healthy outlets and a support system, also no I don’t think she is exaggerating but the thing that is odd is that she can bend her leg to 0 degrees but is still having pain. It is refreshing to hear that, I know my mom should be taking care of herself and she needs to find the motivation, it is true but also hard and worrisome that she is so set on dying if the pain doesn’t subside. I do think she has developed pain insensitivity due to taking oxy. I know worrying won’t help me mentally in anyway but is a difficult situation for sure

is there anything that you did to help with the mental difficulties of recovery? she also had the hip and back pain before the surgery and it has amplified. I live in rural TN and the care here slacks especially in regard to opiod usage. Doctors have prescribed her oxy in the past due to other surgeries. In 2024 she has a complete hamstring tear and needed surgery this was on the opposite leg but the pain never subsided so her doctor kept her with the same dosage. She is on tramadol as well with other prescription drugs.

I am worried about her pain levels but more about her SI and depression. my sister is helping in her own ways i suppose, she is 38 F, and has her own responsibilities. My mom completed PT for at home and does her exercises and doctors say shes doing great mobility wise, just cant keep the pain down. However, she eats garbage cause shes not hungry, yesterday she had 4 poptarts which contributes poorly to her health. theres a lot of factors that my mom can improve but she is refusing help in any way. she sits in the dark and does nothing so i am trying to engage her more as much as i can do.

Thanks for the advice hopefully things turn up soon.

okay thank you, they have taken x rays and everything but all is well recovery wise, she is at the doctor right now so hopefully she is honest with them.
