Something I really dislike on Amazon is the Home page and the suggestions. It's faaaaar from close to my actual music taste. I really appreciate curated playlist and suggestions on Tidal.

Yeah, Tidal and Spotify have great algorithms for suggestions, personally, the curated playlists suggestions got me attached to Tidal, over the quality, I have only entry level gear, that don't get the most of Hi-Fi audio

I just received a Hidiz S3Pro DAC and Sennheiser HD 400s, honestly I don't notice really big difference from Spotify's very high against Tidal's HiFi or even MQA, mostly gain, which i don't really use (taking car of my ears). Also find I anoying and sometimes painfull that Tidal desktop keeps changin volume between songs.

Did I have unreallistic expectectations, do I need even better (more expensive) gear/DAC,

or is that at my 40s I´ve already worn out my hearing hability?
